>>221796428the word is lit, specifically "well-lit" that's the phrasing that exists in non ESL English.
>>221796469>all ESL posters are indianyou guys are incredibly retarded
>>221796469Lit is a relatively recently accepted neologism; lighted is far more common traditionally and more proper in formal contexts, especially with lit having alternative/slangy connotative baggage. The phrase a "clean, well lighted place" is also in reference to something I believe.
>>221796573It's not, it's literally an ESLism. If you say this shit you sound wrong to everyone who speaks the language as their first. It being a technically correct way to say something is irrelevant. The fact that's from Hemingway, also irrelevant. That's not how anyone from an English speaking country would say it. I don't know any other languages well enough to say something like this but the fact remains, it makes you sound ESL.
>>221796082>an unnatural location with no clear exit that seems to go on infinitely>"b-but it's just a office..."How would you feel now if you didn't eat breakfast today?

I'm 32 and even before I'd ever touched a smartphone I could have understood the fear behind "liminal spaces." I stayed late after school a lot, and my school was in an old office building, since my mom worked there she kept us there with us. We'd just dick around or work on homework while waiting for her to be done. Definitely felt pretty creepy to be in a fluorescent lit carpeted building all alone
>>221797546I often have dreams/nightmares of exploring expansive abandoned subbasement networks of tunnels and storage rooms.
>>221799364The idea is not new, it's just a labyrinth.I sometimes dream about trying to go outside but it is an endless array of buildings and rooms, never leading outside.
>>221799628Windows 95 Screensaver did it better even
