>>221807733No Anon, it's not just you. Nolan is easily the most overrated director of all time. I never understood what people saw in his work. I agree that Inception was probably his best film out of the ones I've seen, and yet I found it completely forgettable. It wasn't boring to watch but nothing about it was compelling enough to have stuck with me. Dark Knight was also pretty decent, but 100% due to the performers. The actual story was again quite forgettable in my opinion. I think the cult that has grown around his films is what drives his success. It allows pseudo-intellectual midwits to talk about their refined tastes and pretend to be sophisticated film critics.
