What /tv/ is good for soothing anxiety?
Frasier
>>221798151Homicide: Life on the StreetGreat dialogue, smooth camera panning and editing, ideal comfort food
>>221798151Fucking hell, I have almost every symptom here except a few of the physical ones. I might actually need meds.
Midnight Dinner
>>221798191I've seen every episode multiple times so I kind of burned out on this and Becker. >>221798274I've been having chest and shoulder pains and shortness of breath, I have health anxiety so I can't stop obsessing about heart disease but I'm 90% sure it's just anxiety. I haven't been able to sleep at night
>>221798334House is comfy
>>221798362That's what I'm watching now but obviously not helping the health anxiety
>>221798409Lmao true. Ever seen stargate sg1?
>>221798274I have meds, they help take the edge off but it always exists. That said unless you're a redditor faggot eventually you reach a spitefulness with your anxiety on certain issues where you are so tired of the hang wringing horseshit you push on through. That said you will want to 'shop around' as medication can do diff things for diff people. Some get the zombie effect, some get brain zaps, I had neither. Anxiety is a normal reaction to how disjointed and unhealthy modern life is. You know what I mean by that, just the list of issues that make living in 2026 objectively worse than living in 2016, 2006, 1996, ect. You can take steps to counteract it (avoid doomscrolling, social media) but it's still unavoidable to some degree. Medication might not be necessary, some can beat it by willpower or whatever. At the same time others have been even more brave or manly and still not been able to escape it/depression. Everybody's struggle is different and we shouldn't expect a one size fits all solution.Overall I find the principle of anxiety to be the feeling of powerlessness. Whatever you can do to leverage more power produces more confidence which reduces the anxiety. With health anxiety avoid dr. google. That shit is driven by websites soliciting FUD because making you scared makes you more likely to give their website eyeballs and revenue. Oddly I've found chatbots better in that they don't usually lead with the "You have an ache? YOU GOT EBOLA NIGGA YOU GOIN DIE" Also first post best post >>221798191
>>221798468No, might be good choice
>>221798151For me it's Family Guy or The Nanny>>221798279If you're referring to that Japanese show that shit is kino. An old lady (that I was trying to fuck) put me on to it
>>221798481>Anxiety is a normal reaction to how disjointed and unhealthy modern life is.I don't doubt it. I've always been kind of anxious but it got a lot worse when I started working from home, now I spend around 20 hours a day either in bed or at my desk right next to it in my room in a basement. I actually went to the ER once because I thought I was having a heart attack but they just sent me home with a psych referral.
>>221798481>Anxiety is a normal reaction to how disjointed and unhealthy modern life is. I think anxiety is basically fear. It's a rational reaction to situations but the fear manifests physically. Drug use and social avoidance made mine worse, and i found that i could push myself through it. Kinda like you said, i got to a point where i had to change.>>221798506Sir i am a doctor and i prescribe that you stop everything you are doing and watch it.>>221798560I had something similar happen to me, but i always avoided people anyway. Even if you think you might shit yourself, start going out more and practicing socializing and being around people. Peopke suck but we are social animals. The human brain needs new experiences in new places.
>>221798700Also anxiety meds make everything worse in the longrun. I dont even experience severe anxiety anymore, but if i get my hands on benzos my anxiety seems to amplify after a few days.
>>221798151the mental symptoms just sound like typical neuroticism to me
I go through periods where I am waking up crying wanting to kms and barely able to function throughout the day with shaking, trembling in the neck fucking total psychopath....and then other days I will be totally on top of the world with no issue speaking in front of large groups, presenting, talking to women etc. do I have bipolar disorder lol
>>221798823Did you fuck up your life playing on the computer all day? Success is the cure.
>>221798274Same. The only thing that truly helped me was crystal meth. I have no idea why amphetamines aren't prescribed for anxiety. They're a million times more effective than benzos.
>>221798920I'm actually upper management at work
>>221798972What's ypur day like?
>>221798279Youre on the autism spectrum, most likely ADD or ADHD.I work with kids with autism and hyperactivity and their parents will give them energy drinks to calm down. Multiple sets of parents have independently told me that they do this, and that it legitimately works, although they can't overdo it without other health risks. If your uppers work like downers, you have an attention deficit issue. If you and 10 other people took an Adderall they would get really chatty and fidgety. You on the other hand would probably finally be able to sit down and read a book or watch a movie all the way through without distractions which I'm wagering is usually a struggle for you without a substance involved.
>>221798279Shit sorry I was talking to >>221798952
