some of those first "revival movies" were pretty decent but once the actual series restarted again it was back to feeling like it just existed to exist and almost all filler padding out these really thin ideas or jokes into full episodeslike kind of the same way the old SW EU would take these good to decent trilogies and stretch them out into 9-12-20 fucking books

The last season was suprisingly okay. Funny enough I talk about animated shows but NEVER go to /co/.Anyways, it did fill me with existential angst when it showed that they keep the same timeline in-universe as real time, and they are living in 3026 for instance, and Fry has been in the future for like 26 years. Just fills me with fear knowing that Amy is now 45 years old, and they hand-wave it with newer tech makes people age slower. But all the cast are in a stasis loop, and Amy still dresses and acts like a ditzy 20 something when she should be an accomplished professor of her own right.

while i watch up to the 4 movies, season 4 is the cutoff for the show. this show proves 9 doctorates in a creative room cannot salvage a season. season 6 (considered the start of the reboot) was awful. season 7 was awfuli love the writers, they lost their camaraderie and making each other laugh by taking that break. probably took on new political opinions, ran out of books or theories they wanted to do, and scrounged for stuff they weren't super into when they were first hired 'cuz they wanted to make it good.will not watch, not this, not king of the hill, not beavis and butt-head
