Instead they’re just cheap bargain bin direct to DVD schlock done with minimal budget because the business model relies on boomers seeing a familiar name on the cover and buying/renting it. People like John Cusack, Liam Neesom, John Travolta, etc. do them because it’s easy money with consistent promise of work and at their age they don’t get that many offers for leads or good parts so it’s better than doing nothing
