how does he keep getting away with it?
Tom is looking out for us.
Why did they prosthetic him up to make him look old? He's already (finally) looking like that for real.
he has magick in his dwarf genes.
>>221810003Only movie I'm really looking forward to. Inarritu has a good track record. I didn't know so many people hated him and his pics until I listened to those two Irish fucks on The Big Picture Pod trash the trailer. Looked into it, he's polarizing I guess. I thought Birdman was kino on release and rewatched it a year ago, thought it held up.
>>221810003the word shill gets thrown around here often, but digger threads genuinely give me shill vibes.
I don’t watch Tom Cruise movies.
>>221810913>Too shilly in here, brrrr! That's right, you might want to go back to your Obsession, Backrooms & Odysee threads.
Is he wearing old man makeup? Does he not realise he's an old man already?
>>221811038He needs to look like an old man without botox or midget proportions.
>>221810003bro, you are 50 and had multiple hair transplants, get a proper haircut and stop looking like a british fag
>>221811001thread posted an hour ago and only at 10 replies cuz nobody cares about this movie. the shilling will end.
>>221810003>dude climate change, white people bad, give Greenland to the chinese and russians instead propaganda lmao!yeah, I pass
>>221810003He can only save cinema if he channels some Les Grossman
>>221810003Landman is corny comfyslop. Selling Landman-adjacent, a more "evil" globe trotting version as "timely social commentary" is DELUSIONAL. If Crappywood wants to have social relevance, they need to look at the actual world in 2020s.
he seems to know the people in the industry who still deliver good work
>>221810003Want some Les grossman level kino and i'm good>We do not negotiate with terrorists
>>221810003hes a real 1
>>221810003Watched the preview and still have no idea of the overall plot, but looks fun and the DEIs are there but nothing too bad (though they are smart enough to downplay the worst of it to build hype)
>>221811410Landman is great when it's about the oil business (plus when Hamm was in it it was great, sucks he's out now). The eife/daughter filler plots are insufferable and I started skipping through them.
I'm sick of these fucking diggers
>>221810003This trailer felt like first full length AI flick that studio actually want to put into cinemas...
>>22181117150?
>>221811987Is this whole movie only made to promote this imax 70mm bullshit? Seeks like it
>>221814243Maybe they see the "extreme" experience of IMAX as the only way to save actual theaters? If they can hype the experience that only a physical theater can provide, and more people demand that experience, then they start converting old theaters to IMAX only and squeeze a few more years of life out of the institution. The regular movie experience was outmoded with instant-access streaming, plus giant-ass TVs being the affordable norm. They managed to sqz more life out of them by doing that cringe-ass catering and "luxury" lounge chair nonsense, but that will only last so long.
DIGGA
>>221810003This flick better have some underground action
>>221810003The cgi In this looks bad. If you don’t have the budget for it..film around it like every movie before Jurassic park had to do
>>221815904>this
>>221810355>be 64 year old that looks 55>get makeup to look 78Makes sense to me
>>221812631It appears to be a Dr. Strangelove for the 21st century>rich man dooms the world by drilling oil>deploys a series of elaborate plans that utilize AI, mass media and Military industrial complex to minimize the reputational damage
>>221816019I won't buy the Dr. Strangelove comparisons until Cruise plays three characters.
>>221815904>>221815946This. Same reason i have been saying Dr. Strangelove should have never been made. Looks too damn cheap.
>>221815973
>>221816065They didn't have CGI back then.
>>221810003Its literally just generic "climate change is serious and old white men are to blame" slop
>>221810355They are doing a Brando thing. Like how Brandos most prestegious role was playing a dude 20 years older in old man makeup in the Godfather.Tom Cruise wants to be remembered for that one time he played that crazy eccentric dude in a modern Dr. Strangelove.>>221816235Yeah... but they had real planes you can film. Makes it worse. Models are even tackier than cgi. Dont got the budget to film the real deal. Dont make it. Simple as.
>>221816346>Models are even tackier than cgi in 1964I hear ya, pal. Damn models.
He gives a shit.
>>221816065Looks better the cgi in Digger
>>221810003Tom Cruise looks like someone wearing a Tom Cruise prosthetic mask
>>221816727The models in Stangelove were good
>>221810862>Only movie I'm really looking forward to.Don't forget about Werwulf, anon.
>>221814243I don't think it is. Nolan is one of handful of directors who even has the power to shoot fully in imax 70mm. And there's so few theaters with the screen setup that can show the movie. Doesn't make sense for it to be a long term selling point when just one guy is doing it. The CEO of imax said it's not practical to build more 70mm ones because who the fuck is actually shooting with that tech. This will probably drive more people to see regular imax since they don't know the difference.
>>221810003I'd love to see him direct a movie one day. He had an interview with some youtuber the other day and the knowledge and passion he expressed for the craft was impressive.
>>221816258They are afraid of pissing off their Chinese masters
>>221819718Tom knows a lot about film making (or at least he speaks as if he does) He should really direct a movie at some point
>>221810913Scientologists have taken advantage of 4chan's hatred of Jews and atheists to set up shop and have been doing this for over a decade at this point. Remember how hard they pushed Top Gun 2 as the savior of Hollywood? And now no one ever talks about it?
>>221811987Oh the whole thing's in 70mm IMAX? I'm like 10mins from the biggest one.
>>221819844
it feels like tom has been in mission impossible jail foreverit's nice to have him back
can’t bruise the cruise
>>221810862Birdman was amazing. This will be great as well.
>>221820982baste
>>221810913Shill vibes fr?? Ayo no cap thats hella sus bruh ong
>>221816207I have never seen such a youthful guy!
This is basically just a vehicle so they can finally give him an Oscar, he's last movie star left and it wouldnt be right if he never won one
Waiting for Top Gun 3 where his F-14 transforms into a robot.
