They're trained to show "an alert" to a suspicious package or suitcase. I'm not sure about dogs on American bodycams, but watch "caught in action" about drug sniffer dogs at British airports, and the indication is really obvious when they find anything.

>>221815380
>There's no mechanism for how.
They explained that in the miniseries. A dead body lies at the bottom of the sea (or a lake). It dissolves, bits of fat rise to the surface. Putrefaction gases also rise to the surface. A dog on a boat can smell those and will alert. You will then have to work out the water currents and the depth to calculate where you send your divers.

Wicked little French bitch… what a nasty little film packed with lots of great scenes.
While watching Burn, I swore that one flip shot outside the burning house was directly influenced by French acid horror Climax, not realizing until afterwards the Arabic qt literally starred in it kek. Might just have to rewatch it now:

its funny, i read the synopsis after you suggested and started watching it shortly after. this is one of those movies you shouldnt read the synopsis for desu, because it brought to mind the idea of how we consume one another and experiences to constantly renew ourselves, very freudian "id" themes. but after watching the movie i see there is no ego to steer it to something meaningful, and that is the horror of it all.

i hope you find peace fren, i too have my own issues with consumption, as does the whole world at this point

also why did that dumb bitch forget the crackers again

i watched another movie called caveat suggested by another anon in the last thread, it was decent, pretty good when budget is considered. the setting of those somewhat deserted islands in western ireland is a great horror setting. great setting for lots of stuff really

Great! TidalWave had a long ongoing anthology horror series called Vincent Price Presents. It featured Price as a presenter in the style of Alfred Hitchcock or the Cryptkeeper.

On the note of horror comic anthologies, Oni Press has revived several old EC Comics lines, including Catacomb of Torment, Cruel Universe, and Epitaphs from the Abyss. Great fun, all of them. I can also recommend Creepshow, which Image has been publishing for a few years now. Cheers anon

I feel like after reading junji itos stuff the art in the western horror comics pales in comparison. I do love some stuff like Simon Bisley though I'm not well versed in it.
Smile could make for a good adaption though they can't do much lorewise.
>>
File: vanishing point 1.png (589 KB, 410x627)
589 KB PNG
Also. Vanishing Point from Mad Cave was a great little sci fi horror anthology with a full story for each issue. Mad Cave has a tendency to take cool concepts and make them woke, but Vanishing Point didn't really do that. It got more into the classical moral quandries. Absolutely worth checking out.

>>221824564
It's totally fair to look at a generational talent like Ito and say others pale in comparison, because they do. I read a lot more Western comics than manga these days, and there's a variety of quality, and it depends on taste. The anthologies I've mentioned are short one offs, so they can be hit or miss. There are some great longer horror series like Harrow County and Locke and Key which are more character driven.

IDW's Smile for the Camera follows a group of amateur aspiring supermodels working for a predatory agency as the Smile monster picks them off one by one. It's just five issues long and wrapped up this week. It's getting another series starting this Fall called Any Given Smile which looks like it will be centered around a high school football team.

Just watched it. I also really like that shot of the guy and the burning house. I had mixed feelings of the movie, but not leaning too harshly or praiseworthy. It feels almost like someone tried to copy Evil Dead with just enough changes to get away with it (granted, it'd still be a damn good copy if that was the case). Cursed words of the necronomicon? I dunno, four new words used like twice. Chainsaw? Best I got is Jason's weedwacker and a jackhammer. I did like the eye glow but I think it works best in dark shots for better uncanniness. The yellow bloodshot eyes from Rise were better for up close stuff. I'll write more later but those are my immediate thoughts rn

Just finished. Terrible "slasher" directed by a 16 year old girl for Troma. Some cavewomen kill another for sleeping with the chief's boyfriend, but a big black caveman in a Halloween mask finds her body and her ghost tells him to get revenge. It's kinda funny, especially Kato Kaelin as the bf, but not enough to make sitting through this worth it. Only 50 minutes and feels twice as long. These girls from the opening credits weren't even in it >>221805228

>Backrooms
It was okay, probably a 5.5/10 movie that might not hold up to more watches. There's two things that seem like plot holes to me. First, like most movies, did nobody think to bring a gun? Out of all the people that keep going in there, they never once thought to bring a gun? This is just lazy ass writing and happens all the fucking with horror movies. The second is, when he found the cables running through the door/wall he couldn't get through, why not just bring an axe and start hacking away? In fact, why did nobody think to bring an axe and hack at the walls?
>Obsession
I don't get the incel thing, but that word lost all meaning 30 seconds after it was ever posted online. It's okay as well, another 5.5/10 from me. He could have just killed her or let her kill herself, seems like the obvious thing to do. Since the real Nikki was there when asleep, why not just wait and let her make the wish? That also seems like an obvious solution. Wish Nikki wasn't even bad if he wasn't a retard.

My point is the words have been used too often in contexts in which they don't even apply. Everybody is an incel. Everybody is a racist. That's just shit self-proclaimed internet activists call people or films 24/7. So much so that now the words themselve discredit everybody who uses them. They fall on deaf ears.
