No he's not. Nostalgia Critic/Channel Awesome style "reviews" were an entirely different beast from current-day YouTube essays.
The former typically runs for 20 minutes (40, at most) and ends with a guy dressed up in a bad costume of a character from the movie he just reviewed chasing him all around his house, before he defeats them by getting really mad at the movie they're in and punching them and/or shooting them with a gun.
The latter is never shorter than an hour and ends with Marxism.
