Phase one was clearly building towards that movie and that was the climax of the whole thing as well as where this cinematographic universe experiment should have ended. Whether they want to see it or not that is what´s killing all their movies. Movies are meant to be self contained meaningful events in the lives of their characters and have a beginning, middle and end. They are not meant to keep expanding forever. That´s what tv shows are for and even then you kind of need to have the whole thing penned out and not make it as you go. Not even comic books have been able to keep up with the retardation of ever expanding universes. Every few years or so they need to hit a big red friendly button and reset everything to keep milking the IPs.
