Beautiful visuals wasted on an absolute mess of a plot that takes a long time to amount to nothing

One of those films that becomes enhanced when you watch it depressed.

How is the plot a mess? It's very basic shamanism and folk religion

it's a mess because the film is 2 and a half hours long and yet by the end you still have no idea who did what. Open-endedness can work with some stories, imo this is not one of them

Idk, the ending worked for me, and the story was easy to follow even if some information was held back on purpose.

it's not that complex
it's a supernatural murder mystery

I thought it was a mess too but my basic takeaway is that the woman in white who seemed evil was actually good and he should've trusted her and also had sex with her if possible.

There is nothing messy about the plot.
Everything is set up and everything has a purpose.

If you didn't get it, watch it again.
