>now have to log in to read reviews
what the FUCK. I hate the enshittification of the internet so fucking much.
Where should I go now to read user reviews? I've heard of letterboxd but never used it before

Doesn't rotten tomato have user reviews?
>>

>>

>>

>>221822514
I think it does but I just hate rotten tomatoes UI so i avoid it
>>
>>221820850
It was going to happen sooner or later.

Rotten tomatoes are a bunch of plebeians.
>>
>>221820850
It sucks but you should know that most companies will be doing a similar thing in the future. Locking content behind a sign up. It's the only way to definitively protect against bots stealing content
>>
>>221822982
I used to but I now I use the website 50% less
>>
>>221827370
registration does not stop bots. they did it because they want you into the amazon ecosystem.
>>
>>221827505
It's impossible to prevent a dedicated and financed botmaster but by requiring an email/phone number you're at least presenting them with an additional blocker. IP bans are damn near useless. Chinese websites have required phone numbers to sign in via a unique code sent to you (every time) for years in addition to their unique form of captchas and they don't have any bot problems at all. The west will take time but they will 100% move to this model

>they don't have any bot problems at all
They don't? Nigga, they're operating the botfarms and pointing it outwards.
>>
>>221820850
You login once, then you never have to again.
>>
>>221828768
Yeah it's not even an issue.

IMDB's database and advanced search are what the site is good for anyway. That shit is absolutely priceless for finding films to watch.

>what the FUCK. I hate the enshittification of the internet so fucking much.

you're mad about this? what about them nuking the imdb forums site-wide when trump got elected in 2016?
>>
>>221828713
Yeah, OUTWARDS. The only real botted things that happens in China are WeChat scams or plain old school text, call and email spam/scams.
