My theater had around 40% of empty seats
This is VERY uncommon during a blockbuster's opening night here. It's usually sold out.

I think this is a flop, guys

Nearest big city is the same way for me but I'm not convinced that this still won't get an audience score thats like 50% after having tried to watch this trash last night.

I suspect yuppies are falling for the fake reviews. That or the studio is buying up seats on fandango. Even the 6:30 am showing on Sunday is packed, who the fuck goes to a movie at 6 goddamn 30 in the morning on a Sunday?

Something is a foul. Either way some people will be pissed they wasted $20 of the grocery bill on a shit-tier movie and will bitch about it online.

I checked my local theater. They sold 40 seats for tomorrow, total, over 12 showings.
For comparison:
>Toy Story 5
>14 seats for 5 showings
>Minions
>6 seats for 5 showing
>Spiderman
>112 seats for 9 showings, opening day
>Moana
>5 seats for 8 showings

>Any guests that arrive to the theater alone will be cavity checked

>>
>>221821732
its on pace for like 200M+ worldwide. theyve invested in and bought up the empty seats to ensure it "succeeds". just comes out of the fake 250M budget. it'll be a 'success', but everyone will hate it. like avatar and other trash movies that do big money.

Eh, my criticisms of the film aren't culture war shit. I enjoyed Will Smith as agent J in MIB even though in the comics he was a blonde haired dude. Doesn't matter to me.

I also don't auto-hate Zendaya or give a shit a murderous-talentless "rapper" is in it.

The movie sucked because it failed to tell an interesting story, it failed to make the climaxes of the story captivating, suspenseful or interesting. The dialogue was shit. The non-linear plot didn't help. None of the characters were charismatic--I didn't care.

Sure I watches a camrip but I've watched camrips of other films, enjoyed them and appreciated them enough I went to see the film in theaters.

Nolan failed to intrigue me enough to watch the whole film. At halfway through I didn't care enough about any character to waste another 1.5 hours watching this sloppily edited triple.

Not everyone on here is a culture war chud. It could've been 100% white casting and it'd have still sucked ass because the underlying film sucked ass.
>>
>>221823506
I wonder if there are glasses with special lens you can wear to make watching an Imax film from this seat look normal

This movie is a certfied chud classic, best experienced on IMAX. Don't forget to go with your mom this weekend.

Watched at a regular ass theater thinking the imax thing was a gimmick. Plus I hated the last few Nolan movies so u didn't want to put any effort into a movie I wasn't gonna like anyway.

Unfortunately I loved it, and unfortunately the imax thing wasn't a gimmick and the 1/3 of the screen being chopped off was very noticeable.

Now I have to wait for the hype to die down so I can see it at a reasonable facsimile of an Imax screening just to see the proper aspect ratio.

Anyway, there was like, three other ppl in the theater, but they're playing it every half hour, so that's not unusual

Way to throw away any pretense giving a shit about quality. You give a shit about your team not about whether or not a good movie is the subject of the fight.

Fighting something that you are "in the right about" in a shitty manner takes you down from being in the right to just being another person wallowing in the shit.

ESPECIALLY when the fight is a metaphorical one playing out via a movie's box-office success.

You're a Nazi, you're a Red, you're a Fag, you're a Tiki-Torch.
You just want to be the boot regardless of the neck.

SPOILERS:

Opening night in my area
Theater bout 2/3 full
The good:
Matt Damona
Anne Hathaway
At some point the movie gives Inception vibes for a short while.

Everything else:
Zendaya is inconsequential (could had been any other actress)
Black actress is even more inconsequential
Tom Holland playing 'a kid' once again
The CGI was not great

Audience cheered and clapped a couple times during the final act.

In contrast, I didn't liked the final act. The "villains" were not developed enough for me to feel anything when they went down. The same generic goons and pretentious aristocracy we have seen in movies time after time before.

Those not come close to Nolan's greatest
