Also God of War (2018) sold so well because it was the first new entry to the main series (timeline-wise) in 8 years, it was fueled a lot by the legacy, nostalgia and hype of the original series. The drop-off in sales between it and Ragnarok (whose number is much more comparable to GoW 3) would seem to indicate that a large part of the sales it got is because of that hype.Anyways, I don't really care, I enjoy all the GoW games.
