The master tactician Odysseus should have been able to defeat a small pack of giants if his soldiers had spears and worked in proper ranks. That's why the real version of the story has thousands of these Laestrygonians and they chuck boulders at the ships and then spear the men out of the water. A small pack of them like in Nolan's film could have easily been defeated by a proper phalanx.Also, what the fuck is with the full plate armor? Nolan might as well have given them muskets that shoot cannon balls as well from the same high middle ages period as full plate. That would have been just as anachronistic but closer to the real story of the Laestrygonians throwing boulders.
