how did this guy ever become such a big deal?

i mean he's a dogshit director, everything is needlessly convoluted, it's all dumb as fuck while being highly pretentious, his characters do not talk/act like humans, his editing is fucking atrocious, his action scenes especially are fucking awful and you have near constant loud noise over the entire fucking movie

i mean i appreciate him making original stuff but his status is ridiculous considering his lack of actual talent
