>if you could be convinced to endorse my park I could oh say... give you the antidote to the poison you just drank
>>221833474Something about this scene is so engrossing. I could watch it for hours. The dinner scene however... When I was a kid I fucking hated that.
>>221834163>hating on based chili and sea bassI shiggy diggy
>>221833474I want the antidote and the idol.
>>221833474No Mr Hammond, I already have that antidote. But you don't have the one for the poison you drank last week
>>221833474imma have to check with my lawyer but i dont think that's gonna be a valid contract
>Welcome to the gay nightclub.
>>221834163Why do so many rage against the dinner scene in their memories? It didn't last very long. Did your parents stuff you full of candy and soda?
>>221834427Most kids are just too young and dumb to care what they're talking about in the scene. The gravity of it and the possible future implications. Kids were promised seeing dinosaurs and the the first thing the characters do once they're on the island is sit down, have lunch and talk about concepts children don't understand the depths of. The payoff is great once they start seeing the dinos, but for kids it takes forever until it finally happens
>>221834504The very first thing that happens after they get off the helicopter is seeing two different kinds of dinosaur and the first scene of the movie is a guy being killed by a velociraptor.
>>221834427I'm not an American. If I recall anything I was probably 5 yo, eating a pasty or maybe a bowl of cucumber salad. It was just a bit boring. Maybe it's actually the american accents droning on.Part of the fascination with the caravan scene is all the weird behaviour the old guy is doing. And popping champagne is cool. Something about what he said made the hero kinda happy.
>>221833474Sir David would never.
>>221834163The dinner scene is the only time he comes close to acting like he does in the book.
>>221834504? I watched it when I was 8 and I understood it
Still amazing.
>>221834848Weird kid if you understood that then
Why did Spielberg kill the black guy?
>>221835036Why did he kill the best person in the film, even though he lived in the book.
>>221835079Muldoon died to the predicted Grant "there's another one in the bushes" gimmick from the first ten minutes which is a payoff of a kindthey didn't do the raptor nest epilogue thing and he doesn't appear in the sequels so it was a blank check to write him out I supposebetter than him being the big game hunter role in the gymnastics extravaganza
>>221835079You don't know he died.
>>221835079I'm glad this guy died because there were so few characters and only four deaths, if I remember correctly. This guy, Newman, Samuel L Jackson (off screen) and the lawyer. It was a good decision and showed the way raptors attack that Sam Neill explained earlier in the film.
>>221835284He died, I was there.
>>221833474>clutches throat
>>221834427I never gave it a second thought or knew there were people who got upset by it.

>>221835079Because he was a hunter and hurting animals is le bad.
>>221835343Humans brought them back to life so we should have some control over them.
>>221835365I agree but I didn't make the movie. I'd like to bring them back just to hunt them. The older I get the more comfortable I am with becoming the rich old boomer safari guy that always dies in the movies.
>>221835343The Great White Hunter, one of the more kino tropes.
>>221835343The premise of the movie is already that the dinosaurs aren't animalshe was a game warden before sure but there's not much said about that, he just rightfully wants to kill the genetically engineered killing machines with human intelligence and pack dynamics
>>221834671Maybe you’re just a retarded third worlder?
>>221835471This scene made my balls drop as a kid. I should get a dirtbike.
>>221834163You were right to hate it.It's all fairly sophomoric.
>>221834163For me it's the embryo stealing sceneNo dinosaurs or even people aside from the blob and somehow it's engrossing
>>221835796For me it's the shaving cream on the pie. Such delicious pie.
