The duel was kino as fuck, don't care what they say

I guess it wasn't so bad after all

I always liked it but I love anything Greek Mythology and the like.
Except Nolan Ryan's Odyssey, what a tragedy.

No I watched it last week and the story sucks. I also watched the Odyssey miniseries and it evoked nothing in me. Nolan's sack of Troy and monster sequences btfo them both

Now that the Odyssey dust has settled, we need to meme an Oedipus movie starring Nick Reiner into existence
>Oedipus is a Greek tragedy about a man who, in his unsuccessful attempt to defy aprophecy, ends up fucking his mom and murdering his dad
Imagine the kino if they brought Rob Reiner back as a CGI hologram, just so Nick can kill him again in glorious IMAX 3D
Let’s make it happen /tv/

One of the D's wrote Troy? That almost makes up for GoT.

Troy was a mid tier popcorn flick back when it was made and now it towers above modern slop. Look at the care in the costumes and choreography, look at the nuance between both sides. We didn't know what we had.

It was always a good movie, with good action and a story well told. However, it annoys me that no one's done a properly brutal R-rated adaptation of the source material. The Iliad is essentially non-stop descriptions of people's armors ringing as they're gruesomely eviscerated by spears and swords and rocks.

It's not much less brutal than Gladiator, but the extra step would have been nice.
