apocalypse now
I love the normal cut (final cut?). The french family substory was useless for the movie.
>>221835700What about apocalypse later?
nah nah man...you don't 'work' with the janny...you *listen*
>>221835844Why wouldn't Col. Katz' form of extreme warfare work? It's not like war isn't already the senseless slaughter of your fellow man. If you're going to do it, a small band of dedicated men who believe in the cause is all you need. "Enemy needs to be taken out? Yes, sir; will do." Easy peasey.
*yawn*can we apocalypse later? I need a nap
>>221836887>i build a small elite band>you build a small elite band>i conscript a bunch of plebs to gain the advantage>you conscript a bunch of plebs to level the playing field
>>221836887the US would have to stop pretending they go to war for noble causes
>>221836887By this logic all wars and international disputes should be constrained to Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments
apocalypse maybe later
>>221835700Why the boat, why not fly his murderous as right in up there by helicopter? They could have dropped him off in the bush somewhere nearby.
>>221837311How does he get out?
>>221837311they could've firebombed the whole compound without sending anybody inbecause that's what they did in the end anyway right
>4chan... Shit, I'm still only on 4chan
>>221836887>>221837239>>221837311>>221837370Retards that never saw the film
Heart of Darkness/Apocalypse Now always felt like Alice in Wonderland to me. Like going from one insane situation to the next without really any resolution
>>221836887somebody get the CIA on to this poster ASAP
Still the most kino and relatable scene about getting drunk alone in a room
This movie is beyond kino.
this is dialectics. it's very simple dialectics. one through nine, no maybes, no supposes, no fractions. you can't travel in space, you can't go out into space, you know without like, you know, with fractions. what are you going to land on, one quarter, three eighths? what are you going to do when you go from here to venus or something? that's dialectic physics ok?https://youtu.be/RoQnr2MGjL0?t=961
>>221836887the film acknowledges this. the higher ups wanted him dead because he was doing too good of a job. he was there to win the war, everyone else was careerist scum. also the mission was retarded and pointless because they could've just bombed him. in the original original (theater release) version willard actually does bomb the compound during the credits
>>221837889what are they gonna say he was a kind man he was a wise man bull shit man
>>221835794>The french family substory was useless for the movie.I actually like it because it has some historical significance, is a nice break from the boat ride stuff, features some of the best lighting in the entire movie, the french girl is hot and not a shallow character, she has great dialogue with Willard that translates into the final scenes with Kurtz. The useless scenes when they hook up with the Playboy bunnies in the helicopter from the Redux were thankfully removed.
>>221835700Theatrical.
>>221837364TELL ME ABOUT ANON! WHY DOES HE COOK THE EGGS?
>>221838229So you have too eat all off them.
