For instance, they make a point that Homer doesn't care if Springfield is wiped off the map (due to something that's at least partially his fault) and then frame it as a redemption when he decides to save his family to save the town, except he hasn't really changed his mind because keeping his family alive and well was always his goal even if he didn't care what happens to the town. He sees Marge's announcement she's going back to Springfield, runs out after them into the snow, then has the "epiphany" scene where he realizes he has to save them... like he didn't already intend to do that? The fuck we were meant to think he ran outside for?Also>Marge leaves Alaska to head back to Springfield on an obvious suicide mission to save the town with zero plan. Brings the kids and MAGGIE with her.>Absolutely none of the townspeople feel anything when they see the Simpson house collapsing into a sinkhole, believing Homer to be dead. As far as they know, two children and a baby just died in front of them.>Russ Cargill forgets he has any goons, confronts Homer and Bart personally, gets KO'd and the movie acts like the EPA has been completely defeated.
