Would have been interesting to have the offspring brought back to Voyager and then have the moral dilemma be about whether they should be turned into normal humans. This should have been the whole point of the episode with all the bullshit with Paris turning into a monster and then kidnapping Janeway truncated into the first half of the episode. The second half would have focused on the morality of what just happened and what to do with the offspring.

Call me contrarian but I think the best VOY episode was the one where they're trapped inside that holodeck with the clown of fear and Janeway beats the shit out of him. Not very scifi but the acting was just so good.
