I have. But I've also watched a ton of stand up and know what it would really take to be great at it. You have to be a prolific joke writer. You can't just be a funny guy or just good on stage. Even if you have a couple of funny jokes that you can break in with, you have to be able to consistently write good material. All the other stuff you can learn. I know for a fact that I wouldn't be able to keep up in terms of joke writing.
