Best show of the year but the last couple of episodes shit the bed hard

I enjoyed the last few episodes. First time in a while i felt sad when i found out they had not made a new season yet. Honestly cannot remember the last time i binged a show this hard
Actually i hate to say it but last time might have been tiger king.

the more they focused on their everyday lives and the dark comedy, the best the show was, on the other hand, the more serious it was getting into the island curse, the more generic and forgettable the show got.
The big twist was so predictable it prevented me from enjoying the last episodes, I knew it was coming, but I kept expecting a subversion and then something new, since they were so clever with the dialogue, but it ends right after that revelation. Having to wait like 3 years for season 2 with this payoff was really lame.

I really liked it, but the pothead teens needed to die and they didn't.
