How the fuck did nobody notice this bus drive out from a giant hole in the side of the building? The rest of the plan I can buy, but the convenient timing on TOP of the hackneyed escape is retarded even by Nolan's standards
>>
>>221844215
They fuck up by using regular cities and just calling it Gotham. What you have to realize is that Gotham wishes it was as safe as Detroit. This is like seeing someone jaywalking in Gotham. But because nothing after the first movie goes out of it's way to show that Gotham is it's own unique shit hole of a city it misinforms the audience into thinking this is out of place because they just think generic city.
>>
>>221844215
Same reason normies dont realize jews are behind everything bad that has happened for centuries
>>
>>221844215
It's Gotham, mind your business.
>>
i recently watched tDKR, holy lord it might be the worst major movie ever made. I forgot how bad it was because it has so many memes.
>>
>>221844215
theres so much shit wrong with everything in that shit movie, but mongoloids seal clap at it. one major problem is there is no fucking financial downtown district that has a half a dozen school buses picking up or dropping kid off. they wouldnt even have buses there. there wouldnt be a bus sized gap to perfectly come out of bewteen them. theres no fucking traffic on a school day downtown in million+ population city? the fucking movie starts with joker with his mask off on streetcorner getting picked up with scars and clown makeup on and no one reacts to him at all. no one looks at him or points and just accept it. he then puts his clown mask for robbery on as others pull up. they would have seen him with his joker get up. its retarded and this is just one sequence and only half of what is wrong with it.
>>
>>221844215
How do you think the bank kids get to school?
>>
>>221844215
Joker just needs to threaten/bribe the drivers. Imagine some guy showing up with cash or your wifes ear saying “when that bus comes out the bank ignore it.”

Say what you want about Burton and the others, they depicted Gotham properly.

I thought Gotham was supposed to be NY.

literally every shot of this movie has continuity errors. i think it was just a bunch of random scenes that nolan put togheter in editing like a youtube poop
>>
>>221844865
It's meant to be allegorical in structure, not in corruption. That similarity came later.

who is saying anything bad about burton's batman?

im pretty sure the visual style of gotham is one of the few universally praised things about the 90s movies.

such as?
>>
>>221844665
>joker with his mask off on streetcorner
Thank you! I've been saying this for years and I thought I was the only one who noticed! The shot itself works on its own because it's a cool idea but it doesn't have continuity with what must have come before ie. him standing on the street
Same thing with the bus pulling out: it's a very cool shot and a nice idea but it doesn't flow logically with what must have come before the bus pulled out

His hair isn't even dyed for most of that scene, it just magically turns green near the end so the "surprise" is never spoiled. They did the same with never applying his makeup so you never accidentally get a peek of it. Nolan is a hack.

There's a clear before and after when the brush crashes into the bank. Probably a different day of filming completely when they switched over to the full getup.

It seems like anyone who saw it knowing ledger died views it through "I'm sad ledger died so this movie is the greatest" vs people who don't know ledger died and can actually see how utterly shit it is

What does it matter? 'oh the joker's a criminal!' yes everyone already knows.
>>
>>221846490
The irony of this comment is that Ledger single-handedly props the movie up and is the best thing about it by a country mile
>>
>>221846490
I saw it a few years after its release at IMAX having ignored all the /tv/ hype and id not seen a super hero movie since i think X2 in 2003 (which started my comic book fatigue way back then) and was blown away by it. Was worth the wait

It's a mob bank, they didn't give a shit or were too scared to say anything
>>
>>221844665
The street corner is practically deserted at the moment and the Jester was only a small time bank robber at the time.
>>
>>221846490
what this nigga >>221847184 said. Ledger carried that movie hard. Hell, he practically carried the entire trilogy.

Michael Keaton is both a terrible Bruce Wayne and a terrible Batman. Robert Wuhl should not have been cast in anything.

That picture is in my steelbook art and photo pamphlet of the DK trilogy that came out more than a decade ago. You are hysterical and see ai where it isn’t.
>>
>>221844665
I agree with other continuity errors in this thread and would like to read more examples if possible, but it's not a plot hole or an error if someone like Joker stood on street corner that people would just mind their own business at all costs especially if he just stood there.
>>
>>221847184
No his joker is shit & succeeds at everything by everyone around him being retarded
>>
>>221848020
They underestimate or take him for a common thug or small ring leader and that gives him more time to set things up.
>>
>>221844215
Joker kinda answers that when he says people don't think much of things that go according to the plan. The "plan" here is that there is a bunch of school buses at the time they should be in service. People don't notice where they come from, just that they're there.
>>
>>221848602
It's more about people accepting horrible shit if they feel someone (the authorities who are supposed to present predictability and stability, unlike Joker who has plans but can't be predicted easily) have it under control and you see this everyday so it's a good thought. Your interpretation is cool too.
>>
>>221845037
There's a part where Joker emphatically puts a pencil on a table, but a scene later it's gone.
>>
>>221845002
If it was me in that situation all I’m saying is I would’ve kicked his ass but that’s just me.

That’s why I liked the Tim Burton Batman movies. Gotham looked cool af and really emphasized the sleaze
>>
>>221844215
The other bus drivers didn’t get paid enough to make a report about this nonsense.
>>
>>221844215
>"It was that bus, officer."
>"What bus?"
>"The one covered in suspiciously bank facade shaped rubble, officer."
One of the worst film scenes of all time.
>>
So? Did /tv/ ever decide if he was a glownigger or just a bankrobber?
>>
>>221850480
Ex-glownigger obviously who interestingly got rid of many corrupt officials, some whole criminal families and vigilantism. He did fuck with innocents too on a major level, but his accomplishments were very good.

Burned alphabet spook using glowie tactics to get revenge on the US government for probably leaving him for dead after an op gone bad. The Dark Knight had big nods to the Patriot Act and War on Terror, so it would be very fitting. The guy knew way too much improvising and rigging explosives, police procedure and logistics, planning operations, managing personnel, having an exit plan like when the penthouse incident got busted by Batman, etc. but no history of getting practice with that shit that would've made him known to the authorities or mob before he starting robbing banks. Huge glownigger coming back home and doing what he was trained to do overseas.
