ITT: Scenes Christopher Nolan will never understand
>>
love how the artist has captured the old dogs sad face here
>>
>>221846948
that isn't a sad face
>>
>>221846948
It's not sadness, its a mix of happiness and relief, knowing his master has finally returned alive and well
The poor doggo lived way past the average age of a dog and in very poor conditions, just to see his master comeback to him

It's a derp face

Nolan selected a good dog THOUGH.

Did anyone watch The Return with Raph Fiennes? My dream Odyssey film would be a mash up of the journey from nolanslop and that. The Nolan return bits just weren't quite as good, but everything else was high order kino.

Nolan took a story. Then inserted his own ideas into it. Most of the original story is still there, and it's good. What he inserted is jarringly out of place, though. Language. Ellen Page character that replaces Achilles in the Hades. Sea people. Action sequences. He even touched morality of the story. It's very plain and obvious in Odyssey. It's a hero story. Epic. Greek are the good guys. Now it's dubious, evil, even. He really should have gone with a different source if he was into that, but I guess that he didn't like what he read in Odyssey. It's a modern way to do an adaptation, but it's wrong in my opinion, one should respect source material.

Pretty obvious ellen page was playing Achilles but after backlash they changed the name of the character.
>>
>>221847545
you are a retard. What, they also reshot all of the shots he was in? Changed the plot? Changed the entire character?
>yes they did because... thats the only way for my stupid conspiratorial approach to everything that triggers me to fit with reality
get off the internet its rotting your brain.
>>
>>221847545
doesn't make sense that they would make that change alone and nothing else.
There's plenty there still deserving of backlash

I made my girlfriend cry once when I said I cared more about my dog than I did about her.
>>

kek are you still together? I have a friend whose gf of 1-2 years broke up with him because she got icked out hard over how sad he was when his dog died
>>
>>221847288
It was. But he just sorta goes... sup dog and moves on
>>
>>221847946
No, I broke up with her.

>Christopher Nolan and his dog Charlie Nolan said the story of Argos — Odysseus' loyal dog— is what hooked him on adapting Homer.

I'm all about hating on this faggotry but apparently it's not the case.
