didn’t moana just bomb? I guess lilo and stitch made 1 billion last year so who knows. is there nostalgia for this one? it came out in 2009…
>>221850902This ugly n-word bragged about how young he looks and how black don't crack. Look at him
They're really running dry on possible new live-action slop huh
>>221850902>is there nostalgia for this one?the only reason anyone remembers the original in the first place is because of the Keith David villain guy. There's no way this isn't going to be a catastrophic bomb.
>>221850902Will Prince Naveen still be Indian like in the original?
atlantis and treasure planet are right there… disney let them to bomb to kill 2d btw.
Does he even have any writing credits? If not, he was probably given the job because of connections and it's going to end up sucking as much as him.

>>221851306put ai chips into the brains of real lions to make the real live action lion king
>>221851248I'm going to the theater now rn
A spin-off? How would that work?
>>221850902If they can keep the budget under $100 million and around $70 million they'll make more than enough profit. The problem with Moana and Snow White is that they spent close to $200 million each not including P&A. Maybe Disney finally learned it's lesson and will use AI to keep the budgets on these things under $100 million. Tarantino and Nolan are the only people in Hollywood who have earned the right to have budgets over $100 million as of late.
>>221853246>>221850902Princess and the Frog is a period piece with anthropomorphic animals (they'll probably use CGI and make them look "realistic") and voodoo magic, there's no way modern Disney can make it under 100 million without it looking like a shitty Disneyplus greenscreen TV show. Also it's hard to imagine the voodoo doctor guy as anyone else but Keith David

>>221854058The CGI for Moana was pretty bad. I think they did it on purpose to pivot to AI. There's random AI shorts that blow the CGI from Moana out of the water. The big studios are going to use AI as a overseas sweatshop CGI replacement and then they'll push articles on how they are making movies cheaper and giving more to the American actors and crew. I think that's how Disney and the studios are going to start pushing CGI. AI can get those budget down if they try hard enough.
