Why are people acting like The Odyssey is the worst movie ever made? Even if you don’t love it, it still watchable like The Dark Knight Rises. You’re never going to convince me it’s a one out of ten.

>>221854299it's a good movie, not perfect but really good. people who didn't even watch it are just in histrionics about a couple casting choices. the one thing I will say is that it's hard to take troon Ellen Page seriously as a guy, but it's a pretty minor role, zhe has like 5 minutes of screentime at most in a 3 hour movie. everything else was fine. the recontextualization at the end was great and put a new spin on the story while still being respectful of the source material. the siren scene was probably the best depiction of the siren song I've ever seen, the cyclops and Circe transformation scenes were great too. I really enjoyed it.
