what’s the one thing that makes you instantly turn off a film?
>women or other minoritiesHow are women a minority? They're literally 50% of the population lmao
>trying to watch the human centipede in the first place
>>221861349there's like 0.2 percent more men or something iirc>>221861153I don't enjoy cheating stories in movies, no real-life reason or origin to it, just don't enjoy it no matter how it affects or doesn't affect plot. Also I just finished watching human centipede yesterday, how fortuitous.
>>221861153Is... is that some random redditors opinion?!?AHHHHH WHY?!?! MY DAY IS RUINED!!!! I'M SEETHING! I'M SEETHING AND CAN'T COPE! SAVE ME CRITICAL DRINKER!
>i feel like the scary part relies on the assumption that the watcher doesn't know this fearMost people are capable of empathy and would feel shocked by seeing anyone tortured on screen. It's not complicated. Women are frequently the victims in horror movies because they are naturally more vulnerable which causes the audience to sympathise with and want to save them, making their suffering more shocking. It's also reflective of the real world where most serial killers are men and most of their victims were/are women. Some people really shouldn't watch horror at all, because of stupidity or from life experiences making them hypersensitive to violence, or anything. Although I know people who experienced violence and find that horror gives them a cathartic release by allowing them to view these extreme events safely from the comfort of the couch. People are retarded though and need to elevate whatever passing thought that flies through their mind to some grand political narrative.

>>221861349globally they're a little less because thirdies kill girls because they cant be forced to work as children, even with much higher male mortality rate due to violence it still evens out to less than 50%
>>221861394Nah, there's more women, since they live longer.
>>221861394Even if there is a slight birth bias the male suicide rate and health longevity skews the pop significantly toward women. Women are always the majority and when war was more frequent the difference was even more significant.
>>221861153woke stuff*, historical revisionism / presentism, feminism*no, woke doesn't just mean "black people or gays existing" like reddit claims – for ex: Bad Boys, Family Matters... both good with lead/majority black casts
>>221861424Yeah women and children actually have value. No one feels anything when a man is tortured or hunted. Who would care?
>>221861542>Bad BoysFreeze motherbitches!
>>221861153when excluding the buzz lightyear minions short the first 5 minutes has a child of descent carry over a doll of jessie to her neighbors which turn out to be white boy and girl kids specifically to not target any gender but to give a 100% racist portrayal as they laugh at her because they couldn't keep this about toy dynamics in the first 5 minutes. immediately after it leapfrogs into everyone owning a pad is the norm. its like did you not try other neighbours or classmates to find friends you fucking retard of a movie
>>221861525>Women are always the majoritythey aren't right now, iirc most of the imbalance today is because of abortions in China and India a few decades ago, it's only about 50 million or so (can't recall, saw the video about it a while ago)
>>221861424>Women are frequently the victims in horror movies because they are naturally more vulnerableif this reasoning applied it would be mostly children getting killed or infants even, even irl the serial killer with highest count mainly targeted children (not verified ofc)
>>221861424if you watch enough of it, it becomes difficult to see the characters on screen as anything other than walking plot activators, especially in a genre like horror where plots and characters are predictable and unrealistic most of the time.
>>221861153this is okay tho? i dont understand what the point of this thread is lolpretty obvs trying to bait people to getting mad about nothing
>>221861774The point is obviously a thread about movie pet peeves, OP cleverly used a triggering twitter post to get it some attention but forgot how retarded we are here so his original thread subject has been mostly forgotten.
>>221861153Torturing minorites (the group the Js told me to fetishize) is a bridge too far. Torture of whites (the group the Js told me to hate) is fine though, let's have more of that!People that disagree are the weirdos, not me.
>>221861153>>i quit the human centipede after 3 minutes because the women being harassed in their car just felt too real.>watches a horror movie>gets horrified>”ahhhhhhh save me!!!”
>>221862063It is a bit weird.Like if you were scared to death of romance but then went out of your way to watch nothing but jane austen adaptations.

>>221861424>most people are capable of empathyNo they aren't.
>>221862304Yes they are, it just gets hijacked and misdirected by social conditioning which encourages people to practice selective sociopathy and only care about certain kinds of people.
>>221861153I never turn off a film no matter how much I hate it.But things in movies that always makes me wanna kill myself is fourth wall breaking and voice-over narration. Excessive use of montages also.
>>221862217They have to affirm their false worldview by inducing trauma deliberately.
>>221862333This. The impulse is to do what is right, it's what comes after that gives people pause.
>>221861883they get off to white people and men being killed
"coming of age" story with teenagers in high school having sex, going to parties, loser characters getting bullied and sexually humiliated etc.it just triggers too many painful feelings. i couldn't get through one episode of Euphoria cuz the entire show is basically that.
