What makes this movie like taxi driver?In taxi driver the whole point is that society isn't evil, it's just indifferent. The woman that eventually rejects Travis didn't do it out of malice, he's simply an autist that took her to a porno flick, any woman would walk away. His coworkers don't hate him or treat him badly, they just don't understand him. His grand chimpout only works out because he got lucky and picked the right target, but it's implied his next chimpout is gonna be his doom, and society, by validating him, made a mistake.The joker goes in the complete opposite extreme. Everyone is out to get Arthur, he's the victim, he gets beat up, he gets betrayed, he is totally the victim, and his chimpout is a grand finale where he is validated and was totally right. There's nothing really to analyze here, it's basically just a movie that validates the loner male archetype instead of saying anything about it.So basically these 2 movies are only superficially similar because male loner and society
Man the only thing I remember about this movie was that Joaquin dreamed of being fucked in the ass and both he and the director made it into a movie
