See, Kira, or Jack, as she was known in Pitch Black, died in Chronicles, right? Well, when she died, she died as a Necromonger. Those guys were fun. But one thing they did have going for them: an afterlife. Apparently they were onto something with that whole "Underverse" thing, you know? I mean most of their magi-tech stuff was based on the existence of the Underverse. They used mostly dead people as faster-than-light radios, their rulers were half-dead demigods. But they seemed adamant: the only way to live on in the Underverse was if you converted to being a Necromonger.

Well, Kira converted. She went through the process, as evidenced by the scars behind her ears. So, theoretically, she should be somewhere in the Underverse. That's where Riddick should have come in with the "keep what you kill" thing. When he became emperor, he was pressured to convert into a Necromonger so that he'd earn it, right? Every emperor took a spirit-journey into the Underverse to gain their weird body and soul disjointed powers, right?

This would have been a perfect time for Riddick to descend into the Underverse, a place I can't imagine being very bright, and face off against all the shades of the people he's killed so that he can rescue Kira and bring her back to life. The final fight, perhaps with him against the previous emperors of the Necromongers, being where his powers of disjointedness awaken and he gets to her.

Pitch Black was good because it was a lean, simple story. The Riddick character was interesting because not much was known about him. He had funny eyes and a knife and that's it, everything else about him was a human quality
The other movies played out like a SNL skit about coked-up marketing execs shoving their way into a franchise and throwing heaps of retarded Michael Bay shit into the script while the original creators cry.
It was AI slop except made by actual people
