what is /tv/'s opinion on Rome? I just watched it. The first season is incredible but the 2nd is really disjointed story-wise and feels a lot more like "regular" HBO TV if that makes sense. I want to FUCK that milf Atia seems like her tits got bigger in season 2

season 1 is awesome, season 2 was rushed and obviously eventually cancelled so hbo could make game of thronesif rome went for 5 seasons or so and covered the first 3-5 emperors with the same pacing and detail as season 1, it'd be the best hbo series

I think the consensus is S2 is a step down except for Antony who carries it. I liked the show a lot although I don't think it's perfect. It's too crude and it's early HBO showing off that they can have sex to a degree that it's tasteless. Also they didn't really have much characterization for anyone because they were either real people that were just going through history or they did a Forrest Gump thing with Vorenus and Pullo where they were somehow part of every important event. And I got sick of Vorenus being mad about everything. All criticisms aside of course I would love if a show like this was even possible to make now.
