I see it as a glorified school play where they just take the best kids from the theater club they have and put on some plastic costumes, but with a blockbuster movie budget and I respect it for that. Just from the outfits alone you can tell that this is a bombastic epic that does not care that much for accuracy, and it certainly feels epic and is very entertaining. Even the sound mixing was good this time. But I don't know why Nolan was so afraid to show more of the mythical monsters and gods. The scenes with Charybdis and the Cyclops were amazing, and the scenes where Odysseus' men get transformed or when they talk to the undead are even better. I feel like this movie would have been at least three times better if they just stuffed it full with all the other mythical shit and godly hijinks that Odysseus had to go through. Overall better than Inception and the Dark Knight films, especially the last one where they made Bane a pussywhipped simp. I consider that much more heretical than whatever Nolan just did to Homers Odyssey and I am still pissed about that.

>>221876122I could hear all the dialogue loud and clear, that is great soundmixing by Nolans standards
