They're all mega woke, but they're the only classic whodunnit films made nowadays so I watch them despite the woke shit. And the quality of the source material still shines through for a comfy enough watch.Where's the fourth one, Branagh?
>>221974025>Tiny Fey is in A Haunting In VeniceDidn't expect that. Also, is Kenneth Branagh Ewan McGregor's brother?
they suck absolute ass, branagh does not even remotely understand Christie
>>221974025They were fun flicks despite the woke. I like Branagh.>>221975293Forever goat
hmm
The first two was all flair. The old film adaptation was shot better. I haven't seen the third. I'm interested in seeing the third just for the novelty.
>>221974025Why bother? Surely you can find some British Agatha Christy tv show from the 90s that adapted every single one of her books, right?
>>221978063You actually can't. We've forgotten how to.
>>221974025>They're all mega wokeHOW?IN WHAT WAY?
>>221974025>>221979178I REPEAT, HOW THE FUCK IS IT WOKE?
>>221979178Only the second one really crosses the line for me. Because of Gal Gadot being in it and the really campy lesbian couple. And I vaguely remember there may have been some message or implication that the murder victim was bad on the basis of him not supporting the lesbians. And I'm sure the main detective was emasculated at some point due to the typical Hollywood feminist misandry. Also, the first movie used an Imagine Dragons song for the trailer, but that's a bit of a stretch to call it woke for that.I saw them all in theaters, but I never rewatched any of them.
>>221980731I honestly thought it was a comedy at first because I had never seen Gal act before and the lesbians were so obnoxious. And, to be fair, Branagh's Poirot is pretty whimsical and goofy too.
Venice wasn't particularly woke. Yeah it has Sandra Oh but an asian scammer is... normal.
>>221980731>Because of Gal Gadot being in itHow is that fucking woke?
>>221974025I really want to watch them but I found it wired that multiple people told me that Haunting of venice is a horror movie.
>>221979178>>221980536>>221981298
>>221981360I just saw all three. The third is the best because it's a classic murder mystery filmed as a horror. I really liked it.>>221979178>>221980536>>221981120The brother is obviously a DEI hire to check a minority box too.
>>221974025Venice was the best one because it was least controlled by the studio and it shows. Branaugh clearly enjoys the character, I personally love his Poirot, and the movies all made neat profit, so technically nothing prevents them from making another one, but it is years since last update.
>>221975700>Didn't expect that. She was excellent, almost shame she could only be in this one.
>>221978006Third one has best atmosphere and it is prime example that you don't have to waste money on CGI bullshit, because world is full of beautiful, intriguing places.
>>221981452Brother was okay, because he looked like common hungarian gypsy.
>>221974025>nigger>nigger>masked niggersolved them
>>221982068Wrong in everything. In fact, the mask dude in the poster is literally just a boat operator who had like 30 seconds of screen time. Looked fucking cool though. Venetian masks have such aura.
>>221981547>Venice was the best one because it was least controlled by the studio and it shows.Ah, so that's why it was fun and had a touch of soul even in spite of the nigger love interest. It would be so easy for Hollyjew to print money if they allowed cast and crew to do their work unhindered.
>>221982801>nigger love interestwhat? did I watch a rated cut or something? Where was this nigger love interest?
>>221979178>>221980536>>221981298>>221981397Wtf are you talking about?I am conservative and anti-woke and I am genuinely asking wtf is woke about the films and no having a Jewish woman or black guy is not woke you fucking retards.
I only watched the first one and I don't remember it being woke. I only remember it being insanely boring and a testament to how Ridley absolutely cannot act.
>>221982937Mate I'm sorry, I don't know where I got that from because I've scoured for it and I'm not finding any evidence. Guess I'm remembering wrong since I haven't seen it since it came out, sorry for the unnecessary bell ring. I'll have to rewatch it I guess, it was enjoyable enough anyway.
>>221983606The Nile one was woke because they shoehorned granny lesbos in and they constantly had their arms wrapped around each other so you wouldn't forget they're gay. The movies do shoehorn in blacks, especially Orient comes to mind because token gets to be le smart doctor. Even the third one puts a chink in a main role for no reason.Even besides the casting Branagh inserts his own socio/political opinions under the Poirot persona. But compared to most modern slop, it's negligible, and imo the movies are fun enough to warrant a watch once a decade.
>>221983834There was a nigress love interest in the Nile for Poirot in a flashback, you might be thinking that. The only non-white in Venice is the male assistant of the medium and the entirety of Venetian people because I don't consider them white after they betrayed Constantinople to the Turks.
>>221978127https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adaptations_of_works_by_Agatha_ChristieThere, I did it for you.
>>221981397How about you answer the question for once instead of acting like a retard?
