>>221980839Crazy how it feels like no one ever really talks about this guy despite him being objectively one of the strongest kinomachines out there
What was your favorite of his performances, /tv/? For me, it might be Jopling from Grand Budapest.
>>221981073if i had to pick one it would probably be The Florida Project, he completely steals the show
He and Mads Mikkelson have really strange looking faces that somehow look really handsome. Is this just one of those status things where no one would say they looked good if they were actually homeless alcoholics on the street? Steve Buscemi also has a weird face but I don't think he's all that handsome, he certainly wouldn't rate as high as Willem or Mads do.
>>221981169I haven't seen that one, I'll check it out.
>>221981325I think mads is alot more conventionally handsome than willem or steve. Buschemi looks like a cross between a ghoul and a frog. I cant really see why you'd say mads has a weird face though
>>221981337it's really good, hope you enjoy it
>>221980839Everytime a guy goes into a plastic surgeon to get his buccal fat removed, he says "Give me the William Dafoe"

I his green goblin was a big part of my childhood, loved him in SpidermanRIP
Happy birthday

>>221980839An absolute fucking legend, anyone who disagrees is a dyed-in-the-wool contrarian. I love the alliance he's forged with Eggers -- that autist is going to keep casting him in his films till one of them drops dead. Looking forward to Werwulf and possibly that indie movie where he's playing a hotel manager or something.>>221981169>he completely steals the showWhen doesn't he? Only film I recall where he doesn't stand out much is Spike Lee's Inside Job, but then I remember absolutely nothing about that film.
>>221980839One of the most talented (and still underrated) modern actors. Happy birthday to the goat
>>221981611Eggers is sucks, you have terrible taste
>>221981611>When doesn't he?yeah that's fair, he just makes every movie he's in better
>>221981589he has such a big presence I genuinely thought he was at least 5'10 until very recently
>>221981395Thanks Anon
>>221981325His face is so severe and memorable. Great asset to have as an actor.

As a kid I thought he and Chris Walken were related
>>221981073Man, that’s a tough one. I’m going to go with one Nemo in “Inside.” It’s one of the rare ones where he gets to do essentially a one-man show.
>>221981012
>>221981325It's because he's got a very intense look to him. That's what makes him so charming.
>>221981325the best looking people usually have something a little weird going on with their look
>>221981589he needs a booster chair
>>221980839I bet he's weird as fuck in real life.
>>221981073Fuuuuuck man. The guy just shits kino.My first movie with him was Spider-Man; never heard of him before that and yeah, he made an impression of being a psychopath. After that, of course it was Platoon which was a fucking AWESOME role and just made Dafoe look like, the coolest dude in the world and definitely that one guy that would get you home but wasn't coming home himself. And then he plays Jesus and knocks it out of the park again (I'm just going off the order of movies I've seen him in) and then he was in Boondock Saints and....fuck man, it just becomes a whole new film wherever he shows up and there's only a handful of actors that can make claim to that.
Happy birthday to the LEGEND

>>221980839Apparently he has a huge horse cock so they need stunt cocks when he does nudity.
if you want an entertaining bad movie where willem dafoe plays a crazy piece of shit, I highly recommend paul schrader's "dog eat dog"
>>221981073Green Goblin, he looked like he was having so much fun doing something different and at the time new. Quote him constantly.

What was the FIRST Dafoe film you've seen? For me, Last Temptation of the Christ.
>>221984677Poor Things. cute movie, lots of emma stone boobers.
>>221985387>Apparently he has a huge horse cockwas he not the guy in AntiChrist?
>>221981073He feels extremely consistent, I honestly have no clue which of his performances is the best.
>>221985452>satanistoh no, not someone who actually wants to follow the bibles teachings when it says to care about your fellow humans.let's just be nice normal religious zealots and use our religion to justify hate of things we don't understand.
>>221985797That's a stunt cock because Dafoe was even bigger and it just looked obscene.
>>221985599Probably Spider-Man. Maybe saw one before that, but that was the first one that made me really take note of his performance.
>>221980839vaxx status?
>>221985808it'd probably be some theater shit for his actual best lifetime performance.the problem with really good actors in film is their performance is entirely at the whim of the director and production/editing.if you ever see an actor you know is great giving a mediocre performance, 99% of the time it's the director making that choice, the actor is just showing up and doing what they're told.
>>221985866fully, along with 17 boosters and this years flu shot.

>>221981611>When doesn't he?You're gonna hate me for saying it, especially based on your reponse to that other anon, but... I thought he was pretty mediocre in Nosferatu. Not really his fault, granted, I thought his character and most were pretty inconsequential. For me, Aaron Taylor-Johnson was the show-stealer. His character, along with the rest of his family, were really the only parts of the film I liked, and it's kind of a shame too because I went into it for Ralph Ineson, Willem Dafoe, and Nicholas Hoult, and all three were wasted on a terribly mediocre screenplay.
>>221985949>Nosferatueggers exclusively makes slop and only makes anything to self aggrandize about what an incredible technical and innovative artist he is
