Is he right?
>>221982774>butthurt right-wing commentator trying to find shit to bitch aboutGet bent.
I'm left wing and I agree. Doesn't feel like a journey.
>>221982774why did you crop out the community note?
>>221982835Seething left winger refusing to even say anything good about the movie to own the chudsYou lost the plot bro, touch grass.
I dislike Nolan because he's a very sloppy director and the imax shit is gay as fuck.Having said that, him mindbreaking the chuds is funny.
>>221982774idk I didn't see the movie
>>221982774They spent 10 years on that gosh darned beach. What is he talking about?
>>221982835It's a good analysis with literally zero reference to anything political, and here you are still shidding and farding about muh big dick right wing men.
>>221982774Yes. Nolans movies have always been incredibly dry, cookie cutter, and way too quick. It feels too fast paced not in an exciting action way, but with characters appearing on screen for a short a time as possible to simply further the narrative through the most efficient dialogue possible before the scene is over and where onto the next one. Tenet was unwatchable.
>goes to see a Christopher Nolan movie>complains that it's a Christopher Nolan movieWhat did you expect? A Ridley Scott movie?
>>221982774The zionist is right this time
>>221982774it just doesnt have any grandeur or wonder to it. the intent is to make odysseus a broken man by the end so thats how the entire film is structured. it doesnt inspire, its yet another modern didactic morality tale, which is funnily and ironically enough why even the translator that nolan used hates it
>>221982774I haven't read all that crap but I go with >no he is not.
>>221982774The nonlinear plot thing is totally played out. It only works when you open with the climax and then jump to the beginning. Constantly jumping around three different timelines is gimmicky.
>>221982774Yeah, I'm 1 hour in and it's boring. The acting feels off. Why do some actors have accents and some don't?
>>221982835Why are you so mad? He didn’t say anything poltical
>>221982864Because OP was probably looking for stupid pol bullshit to argue about.
Nolanites can't even define what a woman is let alone an epic journey :^)
>>221982835Find something to bitch about without pissing off his boss ben shapiro
I haven’t seen the movie, does it really jump around the story? What a weird choice, Matt is right here, it takes away the impact of Odysseus returning home
>>221983165Nolan always does this shit. He's autistic.
Why did you hide the community note?
Why did a forgettable summer blockbuster buck break all these retards so hard? Would they have spent weeks melting down about some shit like Face/Off or Speed 30 years ago?
>>221983241it has a ftm and black woman and their echo chambers assured them it would fail because of that
>>221983241Idk, we didn’t live in a gay culture war environment back then where simply liking or disliking a film meant you were on a political spectrum. The fact of the matter is, having a non linear story for the Odyssey of all stories is a weird decision.
>>221982864>community note on a opinion"uh, you're opinion is wrong, chud"
>>221982774>be chris nolan>claim to love film over digital>film movie in the most impractical, unrepeatable way possible>require a 300lb camera rig that's so loud it can drown out the actors speaking while filming>only 40 theaters in the entire world can play your movie>takes an entire cargo truck just to get the film to the theater>all normies care about is the aspect ratio it has>could've just shot 1.33:1 35mm with the similar square 4:3 format and made every theater in the world play it on film.>every studio will just shoot digital imax from now on and film gets phased out even more
Nolan movies are feature-length trailers. He fucking sucks.
Haven't seen the movie, but the Odyssey is written out of order as well. Weird criticism to have.
>>221982774>Is he right? He claimed Apocalypto is more accurate then the Odyssey despite the fact it's similarly devoid of color, anachronistic designs and totally made up designs, on top of a whole host of other issues; so no, he's full of shit
>>221982835There's plenty to bitch about
>>221983241>>221983423>a hideous black woman is going to be playing an ancient Greek depicted as stunningly beautiful?>I see no problem with that. in fact, I didn't even notice she was black or hideous because i'm a decent human beingThis is why your cities are oversized trailer parks full of bio waste
>>221982774Well if anyone knows how to make a good movie, it's the guy who made "What Is A Woman".
I just didn't like it because of the cast.Too many white dudes.
>>221985241I guess that's why Odysseus is so ashamed of himself in this version.
>>221982835Bait used to be believable
>>221982774I love Matt Walsh and sometimes he fumbles but I like that he doens't follow the boss pointers, Ben Shapiro was like "This movie is about christian values!" Nah senpai
>>221983241Because their audiences are comprised of old fogies who are more comfortable being angry than they are being happy, and that means they must pretend everything ever must be bad for some reason or another. Because the audience demands it.
The actual poem jumps around in the same way, holy shit. The only embellishment Nolan makes at that front is showing the burning of Troy at the end of the movie for the emotional climax, but it's effective.
>>221982774the odyssey is nonlinear. it starts with someone asking to hear the adventures of odysseus between the time of sacking troy and his return home. then the poem takes us through those adventures.the reason nolan's movie sucks (i will never watch it) is because of the black and tranny casting and the movie is monochromatic.
>>221986386And also because its poorly directed and edited with bad acting
>>221986442>And also because its poorly directed and edited with bad actingYeah probably. I can't attest to that though because I only saw the trailer.
