But it still baffles the mind why these hacks, in all their strenuous effort to pad out the plotting with more repeated conversations and modern English idioms, some classic and kino dialogue that GURM just handed to them on a silver platter. The only reason can be that they are intentionally making it bad on purpose. The show has millions in budget. Every single thing in the shot is carefully handcrafted by huge teams of experienced pros. Why else would a massive media corp like HBO allow its premiere franchise to be so hopelessly, inanely, purposelessly written? And how do I get a job in one of these writers' rooms?
