Does anybody know if the KOCOWA subs for A Bona Fide Killer (2026) are different from the Viki subtitles? The Viki and the WAVVE subs appear to be the same, which makes me think Viki didn't have a dedicated in house team working on them, or whoever released the WAVVE version just muxed in the Viki subs. Does WAVVE typically even even offer English subs since it's a Korean streaming platform? The KOCOWA release only has HI subtitles so that makes it impossible to just compare them from the subtitle MediaInfo entry. The WAVVE/Viki subtitles are 30.5 KiB and the KOCOWA HI subtitles are 31.3 KiB, still kind of makes me think Viki is just using subtitles provided to them instead of making their own.

kind if interesting that all of the viki subtitles have 860 lines no matter what the language, makes me think all of the other languages are translated from english. I might think it's because they're all working from a korean subtitle file with that number of lines but if that's the case why doesn't viki offer korean subtitles for this show if they have one? Even then it's still kind of weird because the KOCOWA+ subtitles have 908 lines and it's even the same language, so you think there would be some differences between English, Spanish, Hindi, Indonesian, etc.

it's not looking good for viki based on the fact that they had completed subtitles for multiple languages on day 1, if you go the the 'Subtitle Team' tab on the show's page the only user it lists is 'vikisubteam'. If I had to speculate I'd imagine they got the subtitles from some third party, like Disney seems to do with their shows that have VIU subtitles, maybe the same company?
