In this movie Clementine, a pretty girl, is portrayed as aggressively pursuing Joel, a goofy-looking, depressed, and socially awkward weirdo.

This actually strains suspension of disbelief more than the whole "memory erasing" thing.

I thought that was Michael Jackson

It happens but...

haha just kidding it doesn't lol

Look at how fast the outside world is going by in the windows. It's a metaphor for how fast our lives are going by. The corn represents skyscrapers.

BPD girls oneshot introverts

After seeing it, I was very indifferent towards this movie
Maybe because im a virgin so i can't understand

You're not supposed to be able to erase a memory, and even if you could, you would still be searching for what’s missing because you would be “incomplete.” The idea is that both of them feel drawn to the place where they first met, which is why Joel randomly decides not to go to work and instinctively heads there instead. When they run into each other, that sense of familiarity becomes stronger, as if they’re trying to “complete” what was already erased.

Clearly you've never known any flaky art hoes with BPD. They actually tend to gravitate towards passive, vulnerable guys they can walk all over.

Impossible. If this were true I'd be surrounded by them.
>>
>>222243002
Gotta be in their general vicinity first.

Unfortunately, you also need to be attractive. Jim Carrey is definitely above-average looking, especially in Eternal Sunshine.

anon, when he says passive, he means doormat cuck lvl passive
>>
>>222243038
Correction: it's actually not unfortunate if you're unattractive, because those girls will eat your soul

I had a girlfriend who was like this, down the road she tried to get me to watch this movie when she was trying to get me to take her back.
>>
>>222242512
Weirdo is 6'4 and looks like a drug addict (it's what women want)
>>
>>222242512
They knew each other so the remnants of memory is probably what drew her to him and vice versa. Their first ever meeting might have had him pursue her for all we know; we just happened to see one of their numerous encounters.
>>
>>222242989
Yeah but they never approach them in public without having previous contact with them. They will pick them out of social spheres that orbit their own and eventually float around them until the sensitive autist falls hopelessly in love with them.

Jimmy Carrie is like 6ft4 or something. It makes sense. Goofy ahh lanklet are the premier object of becky foid desire.

It's easily Jim Carrey's best movie. It's worth watching.
>>
>>222242512
genuinely one of the worst movies ever made. joel and clementine are both toxic pieces of shit who are never going to have a functioning relationship with anyone
>>
One of my favorite 2000s movies. A proof that Americans can make good movies and not just slop for children.
>>
>>222247942
director was a french guy
>>
>>222242512
This movie is pure pointless stress and misery. The women I've met like that in real life are evil. Watch soemthing meaningful like Count of Monte Cristo instead.
>>
>>222247942
made by the same guy who made daft punk around the world. not american
>>
>>222247942
Ah yes, the famous american director Michel Gondry.
>>
>>222242512
It happened to me. Then she showed me this movie a few weeks later.
