As far as i´m concerned there are only 2 Terminator movies. Salvation is awful too, Genesys and Dark Fate go beyond even that into unwatchable slop.

Judgement day is inevitable because of the government. As long as it is socially acceptable to initiate the use of force upon others, we will always be seeking more efficient ways of controlling one another. Terminator is a fundamentally Christian story. Its main point is that those who draw the sword die by the sword. and the victims cannot be intimidated no matter how hard you hit them. John Connor always did the right thing no matter what. Even nuclear weapons could not tame mankind. And skynet ultimately loses because it was the first to draw the sword.

I really liked how quickly judgement day happens, you get a few bits about some virus that's on the news and the TV signal or credit card readers being out of commission but no mass panics or anything like that. And then bam, the nukes are going off in 3 hours

3 and 4 are both enjoyable. 5 and 6 are just bad, and bad in that "most modern movies are bad" kind of way. Just low rent, soulless sludge.
