Apologize.
>>222289034I always liked Tom Jane's punisher so I dont have to apologize for anything. The Russian + Harry Heck were great one - off villain momentsThe only thing that was kind of a drag were the 'nerdy friends' being too wimpy, lame and cringe. Didn't have any real agency, and it takes you out of the film when they're around. oh and the soundtrack is a lil lame.Overall though it's a great comic book adaptation though, underrated gem.
i like how that guy sang him a song and then came right after him. i was thinking he was at least going to wait a day or two
>>222289088I thought Travolta and his sons or whatever they were kinda sucked. The Russian scenes are obviously great.
>>222289116I feel like that's why it was a perfect superhero movie. Couldn't wait to see those retards get popped.
>>222289034weird the old marvel films happened in the same universe and were better than MCU.2012s avengers with cage's rider and jane's punisher It could have been sick. next to 00s xmen and garfield's spider-man.
>>222289034>Apologize.For what? Thinking that movie was fucking awesome? No.
why is every Punisher costume just a kevlar vest with a cum stain on the frontMake the REAL costume!!
>>222289034For what? I always loved Thomas Jane as Frank, he was also terrific as The Punisher in the videogame adaptation of the film.
>>222289191I don't think it translates to the screen well, just like the traditional Batman or X-Men costumes.
>>222289233The traditional batman and xmen costumes are fine sans underwear. The punisher's costume just fucking sucks, with the exception of the white skull, and it makes no sense because he's a tacticool guy.
Reminder that Thomas Jane fucking stabbed Kevin Nash in the chest for real for real. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Mpk3RXWxDM&t=226s
>>222289233>translates to the screenthis is the biggest copout, there's no "translate to the screen" you look at screens and images with the same fucking eyeballs
>>222289116The thing about the punisher is that outside of the weird few comic villains he has like jigsaw he doesn’t have the traditional stable of villains because by definition it wouldn’t make sense, he kills his villains who are regular gangsters In that sense they were fine.
This is still the best Punisher ever made. Yeah it's corny, the director intended it to be like that because that's how Punisher comics are. Making him some tragic boo hoo figure is gay. He's mad and he kills bad guys, that's his thing. Directed by a woman btw
>>222289482you don't think this looks retarded?
>>222289531No that's what superheroes are supposed to look like
>>222289034I always liked him, and imo he’s much better Punisher than burn local (even though I think his kill count is not so big), so I have nothing to apologise for
The Garth Ennis stories are right fucking there and they decided to do The Boys instead. He's such a shitty comic book writer but he's like the only one who understood Frank Castle
>mogs local https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWpK0wsnitc
>>222289515It killed my investment in it with the ridiculous chandelier scene. Doesn't he say some cringe shit like "If only I could get my hands on god..." right before it as well? I dunno. It was too much.
>>222289531better than the Battinson suit
>>222289686That's Frank though. He's a pissy little bitch with a cringe internal monologue and he somehow does ridiculously violent and silly shit and it just works
>>222289034I loved this movie and the arcade game.
>>222289034Apologize for my favorite comic movie and favorite Punisher? Punisher 2004 is literally one of my favorite movies of all time
I always liked that run whete Frank was after some mob boss as always but he was living in an apartment next to a junkie with a bunch of face piercings and a prostitute and he kinda of becomes friends with them. And in the story he comes home and the prostitute was raped and the junkie had all his piercings ripped out by some goons so he went and just fucking killed the people who did that to them.
>>222289208>the videogame adaptation of the film.It was actually completely original, and only loosely connected to the movie by having Jigsaw be one of Travolta's kids. Great performance from Jane in the game. It's the voice I hear in my mind when I read Punisher comics.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o5MDuqZzDJQ>>222289465He's used to getting penetrated, so it's all good.
>>222289651It blew my mind watching One Last Kill and realizing that they basically just took Dirty Laundry and stretched it to 4x the runtime. How do you get away with that shit?
>>222289931yeah, it was awesome. it was basically Manhunt + Max Payne
>>222289191Imagine if GOT actor Pedro Pascal returned as Reed Richards for pic related movie
>>222289686>Doesn't he say some cringe shit like "If only I could get my hands on god..." right before it as well? I dunno. It was too much.He says this in punisher max and everyone fellates that shit.
>>222290562>Space PunisherThe last time I heard about Punisher in space, they mixed him with Ghost Rider (and Phoenix I think)
For me, it was Avengers Confidential: Black Widow and Punisher.
>>222290649Frank died (again) and this time he was the cosmic ghost rider since he's the personification of revenge. At one point he was an angel. He was also leader of the hand for a minute and empowered by the beast.
>kino Movie+ Kino Game+ Kino short filmBernthal could only dream of this streak
>>222289515I've seen it a handful of times and it's never any better.
>>222290970He's /ourguy because he's the closest thing we'll ever get to a white version of Black Panther after Nicolas Cage's Black Noir who'll be the only Spider-Man left besides Miles Morales when Peter Parker gets killed by Thanos in Avengers: Doomsday
>>222289034I always liked the movie. And Dolph's. And Ray's.
>>222291181>he's the closest thing we'll ever get to a white version of Black Panther>implying he panther isn't just the black phantom
>>222289515>Titus Pullo>McNutty>the guy that gets cubed in Resident Evil and AVPwhat the fuck, how have I never heard of this movie?
>Tom Jane's punisher wpupd rather play mindgames with his enemiea than blow them away with a shotgun>apologizeKek
>>222289167>weird the old marvel films happened in the same universeNo they didn't you retard. The rights were completely spread out in fact
>>222289034it's a pretty good flick but a bad punisher flickmixes too many different comics, pulls too many punches, is in TAMPA, mixes the tone too much, has a lame family death rewrite
>>222289515it's shit
>>222289601fuck off retard
>>222289034Lundren and Stevenson were great. The rest are trivial. Bernthal is worthless.
2004 hulk with Eric bana was good too
>>222289116Was the rape scene really necessary?
>>222289531Robin has nice cameltoe, 10/10 would dick grayson.
>>222289034Always liked
>>222293111filtered by neon lighting and comic book goreWar Zone is the only one that actually understands Frank is supposed to be a walking slasher villain for criminals, not a sad divorced dad in Tampa doing Home Alone traps.
>>222289034This was peak natty in 2004 but now it’s dyel, brutal
>>222289034As a Floridian I liked it cause it was shot in the Tampa Bay area. Really underrated locations.
>>222293981cringe1989 is the only good one
>>222289088>soundtrack is a lil lamehow high are you? It fucking rockshttps://youtu.be/S2vczjVqQIE
>>222295014im talking about the goofy orchestra soundtrack they placed over certain scenes dude.
>>222289686Punisher always says some cringe shit, especially in the MAX universe where that quote is lifted from.
>>222289088Same feel anon.I liked it when the Punisher was campy with colorful villains with gimmicks (kinda like wrestling). The "ultra dark & gritty" has too much pathos for a fucking comic book (if I wanted realism I'd just turn on the news)
>>222290562>>222293178A crossover with both Eric Bana and Thomas Jane returning would've vastly surpassed Avengers: Endgame
>>222289088>Harry Heckhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNvzRAfT29I
>>222291255GOD DAMNIT CASTLEhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZGedzA8TKw
>>222289034Still the best punisher as far as adaptations go
>>222289088Agreed, especially with the neighbors. They werent necessary other than some exposition dumped on us about his history.
>>222296652I dont know a ton about the punisher but I feel like him running away was the most un-punisher thing he could have done in this scenario
>>222296891the idea was that he was caught off guard, but still prevails (brutally).the punisher punishes, but he also gets punished himself.
>>222296312It was cool to have gimmicky villains show up as hitmen so they didn't overstay their welcome.Any time you get a bunch of interesting characters together now it has to be a marvel event, instead of just having fun. I think that's what I miss most about films like this. You get a great stunt scene with the russian, then you get a great stunt car scene with harry heck. Long enough to be a spectacle but short enough to keep the plot moving. It's a comic book film and both forms of media, comic books and film, are meant to be entertaining first and foremost. It's why i never really understood punisher war zone. it just feels miserable most of the time. to each their own i guess.
>>222291181>Punisher: War MachineFrank trolling Captain Cunt was kino
>>222289439I think BvS Batman would have looked better with the underwear>>222289515It's a drunk fun movie.
>>222291181why would you ever paste this my little pony looking shit on the cover of every punisher book?
>>222289765The little comic book onomatopoeia are a nice touch>*KRAK!*
Unpopular opinion. The definitive, The Punisher!
>>222296693Now THAT'S Frank Castle
