Breaking Bad ending here would've been perfect.>inb4 too many loose ends
5 felt unnecessary in a lot of ways and i hate that it turned into Jesse torture porn at the end
>>222309136This is the part where Walt won.>>222309554This is the part where Jesse wasn't in his own private domicile
>>222309777reddit!
>>222309136The whole story was centered around a dying man making decisions that ultimately lead to his own destructionEnding at "I won" is fundamentally retarded.
When did Skyler become completely unredeemable?
>>222310487>decisions that ultimately lead to his own destructionthat's really not the case for the first 3 seasons, it's all rising action. in season 4 his power level peaks but it's also when he's the most distant from his family and original self, so it works as a negative transformation.
It was too neat, character beyond redemption sacrifices himself in order to redeem himself and trying to fix what he had done. It was too good of an ending for him, irl death is the worst that can happen, in fiction its basically get out of jail free card for the character. If he stayed alone in that cabin it wouldve been more poetic ending, not saying you cant come with something better
>>222311951say what you want about season 5 the ending was kino
>>222309136Yeah, the more time goes on the less I like S5. Face Off completes Walt’s arc, and his arc is literally the entire point and concept of the show. Everything that comes after feels like unnecessary filler. Plus Gus is a way better final boss than the boring-ass zero-backstory Nazis
>>222310882The amount of genuine Skyler hate has always been a decent media literacy filter. Walt lies, manipulates, murders, poisons a kid, admits he did it for himself, and people still come away more upset with his wife for reacting like a normal person. At some point you have to wonder if they're watching the same show. Vince Gilligan wasn't exactly subtle
>>222312543Walt is the protagonist, he drives the action, Skyler is boring and does nothing but bitch at Walt to stop doing cool shit. For whining about media literacy you sure don’t seem to grasp the concept that people naturally gravitate toward and root for a protagonist. Quit moralfagging fictional characters. Walt’s not actually killing anyone since he isn’t real.
>>222310882Episode 1 or 2, I can't remember.
>>222312543>Walt lies, manipulates, murders, poisons a kid, admits he did it for himselfBecause he was ENTERTAINING you fucking idiot. Skyler was BORING. This is a show, not real life you absolute retard. Plus they did no favors casting Gunn with her resting bitch face if their goal was to garner sympathy for her. There has to be a term for this shit, where someone thinks that solely because a fictional character does bad things, that means we are required to hate him, as if he did these things in real life to real people, and anyone not being a bad person must be liked.
>>222312727You should hate Walt for being a retard that gets everyone killed with his retardation
>>222312758Who does he get killed that I care about?
>>222312768>people needlessly dying only matters if I care about themThere has to be a term for this
>>222312793Should I hate Walt for killing Krazy 8? Or getting Gale killed? Yes, this only matters if it's characters I care about. You're telling me how I should feel about a character. I can acknowledge Walt's flaws and the ramifications of his flaws, and acknowledge that his retardation led to innocent and not-so innocent people dying, both necessarily and unnecessarily, and not be commanded to hate him for it.Why am I able to do this? Because it's a TV show and not real life. I can choose to like or dislike any character I wish, and you cannot make me like or hate someone based on what you would like or hate.
>>222309554El Camino could have been a season 5 about Jesse trying to get away from Walt, not the cops. That sounds like a better season 5
>>222312727>Because he was ENTERTAINING you fucking idiot. Skyler was BORING.Walt is fucking boring. Every conflict is predictable, he will pull something out of his ass and face no consequences.
>>222310882Can't deny Anna Gunn played a bitchy wife absolutely perfectly
>>222312543Skyler was sexy in season 1, but I can't overlook her unpleasant manner in latter seasons when she is no longer attractive
>>222312475I respect what the writers did with the series post S4, but if I were in charge of the story, I would have done the following>kept all the stuff with train robbery, drew's death, mike and walt falling out, mike getting shot by walt, walt planning prison shankings, etc.>after walt kills mike and makes jesse an accessory to drew's death, jesse spirals into Macbeth-style nihilism and doomerism instead of being all mopey and guilt-ridden>jesse does something like beat a homeless man to death to cement how far he has gone morally and spirals into more and more evil acts as a coping mechanism to numb his guilt over drew's death>jesse's edgelord transformation culminates with him abducting and torturing todd to death, maybe by dipping him in acid or something to mimic what happened to drew's body >jesse becomes more emotionally distant from walt but still works with him biding his time>skyler convinces walt to retire from meth business>walt tries to retire, but then jesse reveals that he won't let walt walk away and plans on shackling him to the business forever, echoing the scene in S1 when walt blackmails jesse into cooking meth together>jesse at this point isn't motivated by money, he just wants to fuck with walt and make him pay for the drew debacle and for killing mike>when walt gains upper hand in the power struggle, jesse invokes his final uno card which is to tip off hank>now hank knows truth about walt through jesse instead of just stumbling upon the truth while taking a dumpbasically, anything to not make jesse the 'nice guy' to walt's 'literally hitler' when there was plenty of room for jesse to indulge in actual villainy and become the actual psychopathic drug lord that walt tried to turn him intothe irony being that walt roping jesse into the meth business is what induced jesse's transformation into an emotionally hardened and murderous criminal
>>222312940>face no consequences>relationship with his wife ruined>son hates him>will never see his daughter grow up, she'll probably hate him too as she learns more about him>brother and sister in law hate him>reviled as a murderous, monstrous criminal>jesse even hates him>gets his ass beat multiple times>literally fucking dies
>>222312975Making Jesse the drug lord is stupid. He just wanted to smoke meth and make money. The only other thing that made him happy was Jane. Him becoming "muh new big meth empire" is just stupid.
>>222312975>jesse invokes his final uno card which is to tip off hankEven worse than what Vince did. Hank is set up as the primary antagonist in the pilot. Hank finding out about Walt was bad enough on the show, but Jesse just telling him would be even lazier.
>>222313025Hank making the WW connection while shitting is just silly. Pretty much one of the dumbest ways Hank could've caught Walt
>>222313023jesse embracing his role as a drug lord has nothing to do with the usual motivation like greed thoughunder my scenario, he is doing it purely out of spite and as a means to torment walthe doesn't even care about getting caught or dying
>>222313025>Hank is set up as the primary antagonist in the pilot.BB does not have a primary antagonistit has arc antagonistsHank was only like an antagonist for like a few eps before getting immediately killed and replaced by jack
>>222313083I don't like season 5 but Jesse cuts ties with Walt when he decides not to shoot him and tells him to kys. He's finally done with Walt
>>222313113Basic story structure. The premise of the show, as laid out in the pilot, is two tiered: >mild mannered teacher becomes drug dealer>his brother in law is a DEA agentThen Vince shits the bed and doesn't know what to do with Hank once he finds out
>>222313113Hank is like the only good guy and everyone else is a literal criminal. Hank did nothing wrong besides being a bit of a meat head cop
>>222313275never said otherwiseantagonist doesn't always mean an evil characteran antagonist can be the 'good guy' too
>>222313068there's really stupid ways how people get caught irl. Al Capone didn't get the book till the IRS found out he didn't pay his taxes
>>222312543>Walt lies, manipulates, murders, poisons a kid, admits he did it for himselfhe did all of that horrible shit to his own family? Wow, he really is a piece of shit then
>>222312975This is hilariously bad
>>222313083I agree
>>222310487>the whole story is centered around the forced bullshit in season 5
>>222312543>admits he did it for himselfLmao at people who take everything at face value. He was saying that to give Skyler closure.I bet you think Mike's butthurt rant about Walt's ego was some objective character analysis too.
Breaking Bad should have ended with Todd buttfucking Jesse to death while he cries like the little bitch he is
>>222314897Skyler shouldve had sex with Jesse, that would piss off Walt sooooo much
>>222312543But he's doing it all so that he doesn't have to either:>kill himself>land his family with millions in medical billsHe wouldn't even be alive to enjoy the money.
>>222314720Except Mike knew the plan that they were going to replace walt with gay-el
>>222309136The problem with the show is that he never actually became Scarface, Vince Giligan chickened out and didn't deliver on the premise of the show. What a hack. Bravo.
>>222314909Jesse deserved better than that
>>222310882When she fucked Ted just to take a shot at Walt. Walt did bad things but he was never out to hurt his family.
>walt let a young girl choke to death because he wanted Jesse to help him make more drugs
>>222316165They were high quality drugs
>>222316165You're not supposed to interfere with the junkie life cycle
>>222316187Bitch blackmailed him, he needed more money or something, anyway she literally did it to herself. She could have tried not being a drug addict
>>222310487It really wasn't until he went full psycho mode in season 5. I won't say it was completely out of character for him to just start killing people left and right but it happened too fast.
Lydia dying was hot tho
>>222309136Damn straight. Been saying this for years. Then have the lily of the valley scene post-credits. Perfect! But no. Faggots need everything wrapped up in a little bow.
>>222310882When she gave her beloved husband fake bacon and a shitty handjob on his 50th birthday.
