Bladerunner 1982
LOTR trilogy
>>222310372Blade Runner*
>>222310509This. Everything they did with MCU Peter was good, even the idea of bringing other Spider-Men into the universe temporarily to teach the current Spider-Man things was solid (the comics notably got this right on their very first try) but the fact that they just couldn't hold off on forcing a million references ruined it, with so many inside jokes that totally threw off the pacing. Also, yeah yeah Dr. Strange was stupid but if he wasn't there would be no movie
>>222310337pretty much anything older than 1994
Great Gatsby. And the book sucks ass as well.Trash.

Godfather 2.Godfather 1,l is a great movie, no notes.. Godfather 3 has a lot of stupid scenes that didn't need to be in it but at least it's going somewhere. Godfather 2 just feels like filler. Very well directed and well acted filler. But filler nevertheless.

>>222310372I was thinking in a funny reply but this really, I watched it after everyone said it was the best thing ever, and while I cannot say it was bad, it just wasn't entertaining, and I couldn't care less for what was going on in the movie.
>>222313549this whole thread is stupid. so my answer is SPACE CHIMPS
>>222310337Heat
Inception. It's derivative, ugly, poorly written and performed despite the stacked cast, and its visuals are dated and soulless.

>>222318344This. Hugely overrated
>>222318401I take it it gets wanked off on this board because the protagonist is a nihilist, autistic asshole like the majority of the film's fans.

>>222310337I don't think there's a single film this applies to. A lot of boring films that are adored by pseuds are very obviously flawed in ways that can be expanded on without resorting to "it was boring".Burning is a great example. The writing was not 10/10. Burning the greenhouses as a metaphor for murdering people was not some super smart plot twist. The hint that it wasn't deep should have been when literal crayon-eaters were jerking off about how clever the film was. There was nothing compelling in that film. It was just 3 hours of shit (the ending was pretty good to be fair actually).Or you take something like Interstellar where every single line of dialogue is actually painful and the entire plot relies on you just not thinking about basic logic.
>>222313579This film is a fucking underrated masterpiece

>>222318401>>222318430TWBB just has good prose and good acting. It's extremely quotable/memeable and the 2 main characters feel real. The story isn't really that special, its appeal is mainly in Dano and DDL's performances.
>>222310372completely reasonable opinion. that film spends a lot of time up its own asshole
>>222310337Star wars 4,5,6LotR 1,2,3

>>222320194You have shit taste, but at least an interesting take. Why didn't you like them?
>>222310482LOTR is unwatchable/unreadable now. I understand that when it came out it was extremely creative and created it's own genre, but now that that genre is well known LOTR feels like a worse version of generic fantasy slop.I totally understand why zoomers don't like it. It must feel so bland to them.
>>222320763if anything it feels refreshing nowadays since everything in the genre has to either be ultra edgy and stupidly over the top or post-ironic and self-aware because making an earnest and straightforward fantasy story would be "cringe" or "just trying to emulate tolkien"
>>222310337Guardians of the Galaxy. I clearly remember that, at some point, probably around the time green bitch and robot bitch are bickering with each other over Daddy Thanos issues, I just completely lost all interest in this movie. And then I zoned out again and briefly came back when all these stupid Star Wars rip-off starfighters forming a picket fence around an enemy ship or something. Then I vaguely remember that Chris Pratt clown doing a stupid dance. If you found the MCU entertaining, you must have an IQ in the 80s. No wonder you're all so miserable and confused.

>>222320763My man, stop using electronic media for a month or so - your brain is clearly fried >In rode the Lord of the Nazgûl. A great black shape against the fires beyond he loomed up, grown to a vast menace of despair. In rode the Lord of the Nazgûl, under the archway that no enemy ever yet had passed, and all fled before his face.>All save one. There waiting, silent and still in the space before the Gate, sat Gandalf upon Shadowfax: Shadowfax who alone among the free horses of the earth endured the terror, unmoving, steadfast as a graven image in Rath Dínen.>"You cannot enter here," said Gandalf, and the huge shadow halted. "Go back to the abyss prepared for you! Go back! Fall into the nothingness that awaits you and your Master. Go!">The Black Rider flung back his hood, and behold! he had a kingly crown; and yet upon no head visible was it set. The red fires shone between it and the mantled shoulders vast and dark. From a mouth unseen there came a deadly laughter.>"Old fool!" he said. "Old fool! This is my hour. Do you not know Death when you see it? Die now and curse in vain!" And with that he lifted high his sword and flames ran down the blade.>Gandalf did not move. And in that very moment, away behind in some courtyard of the city, a cock crowed. Shrill and clear he crowed, recking nothing of war nor of wizardry, welcoming only the morning that in the sky far above the shadows of death was coming with the dawn.>And as if in answer there came from far away another note. Horns, horns, horns, in dark Mindolluin's sides they dimly echoed. Great horns of the north wildly blowing. Rohan had come at last.If you read this and don't feel, I got bad news for you
