Rogues powers are like a disease because theyre bad. She cant kiss or have sex ever which means no children ever because she'll kill the man or the baby inside her with her powers. Storms powers are entirely good and she can just choose to never use them if she wants so why cure it instead of keeping the option.

I just quickly checked because I am not a comic fag but have general knowledge of xmen as I watched the cartoons as a kid, was right, in the lore rogue gains control of her powers and becomes super OP. The wiki said she has potential to become omega level which is the most OP mutants.

Right, potentially Rogue coild be fine, but in this movie she's just a kid and in her experience, her power is to drain the shit out of, and potentially kill, anyone she touches. For Storm to tell her, "nothings wrong with you" is a little reductive, Rogue can't really conceive of being able to reign in her powers at that point

if jews/blacks/gays/whoever could shoot lasers from their eyes or cause tornadoes, it would be justified to discriminate against them as dangerous
