I finished watching it a few days ago and I did find it annoying how they portraied the tech guy. I mean if he they wanted to make him somewhat evil and ignorant fine. but the whole "I want to land on the sun and explore" bit to make him look dumb came off as really bad writing. I mean most people in his field would have been rocked to take physics, chemistry, and maybe one more science class like astronamy or biology so they would know about the suns makeup
