All goddamn three of them: Belushi was a force of nature, Candy was naturally likeable, Farley would have the Shrek franchise and not Mike Meyers. The better question would be, who was going to drop the hammer and do a serious, dramatic role first? Candy would venture into it but not stray too far from his funny, family friendly image. Belushi and Farley on the other hand, would have dove right into something and transformed if given the right role.
