Why do they even keep making True Detective? In Fargo, most people agree s1 and 2 are great, s3 is good, 4 is ass, and they're mixed on 5. From a corporate perspective, it's by no means past the point of no return. For True Detective pretty much everyone(other than a few contrarian s2 fans on /tv/) thinks that everything but s1 was shit and a waste of time. Did anyone even watch season 4?
