You ever stop watching midway through a movie not because it's bad or anything but because it makes you feel so miserable

My brother was showing me this movie and I got to the part where the mexicans are raping the white priests and I thought "this movie is just too jewish for me" and stopped watching

Based, if you want surreal film watch Lynch instead of that European shit

I've been binge-watching The Twilight Zone, and while I enjoy watching two or three episodes before bed, sometimes I have to stop midway through because they make me feel anxious about things in my life. I’m not sure why, but some episodes really get to me. Like the one where the grandmother is sick and dying, adores her grandson, and tells him he’ll be able to reach her through the phone. It made me think about my own grandmother and aging in general, and it ended up being a pretty rough experience before trying to sleep.

Twilight Zone is genuinely intense. It was from a time when shows were written by literary nerds with life experience and a desire to write something real, instead of 30 year old tumblr activists writing about how white men suck

Yeah, there are plenty of nifty episodes and especially cool ideas, but beyond that, most episodes focus on the issues and anxieties of adult life, like fearing the future, feeling like a failure, worrying about missing out, coping with aging, dealing with death, guilt, and more. Not really good material to watch right before sleep.
