It misses the point that the book isn't really about the serial killer. It's about Bret being a rich fucked-up kid slowly realizing his whole fake adult world is collapsing, and turns it into a CW murder mystery with extra filler. Ryan Murphy doing Ryan Murphy shit. And for whatever reason I can't take the actors seriously. All look weird. Zoomers getting mogged by their own parents. Per usual.
