Actually not too unrealistic. Some people practice hardcore health and fitness regimes because they think it "balances out" all the poisonous shit they do at the weekend. "If I run back and forth across the road bridge on Sunday morning, that makes up for all the smoking and drinking on Friday night." And maybe it does help, a little bit.
