He was an extreme autist, unironically. Autists get offended by the most benign inconsequential things.

Nobody likes it pointed out that they're in a shitty mood.

Watch the film. He clearly states why he hates working at Initech. Too many bosses, plus he doesn’t care. He helps ship a few more units, he doesn’t see an extra dime.

This movie really tricked an entire generation out of actual money by convincing them office jobs are soulless death sentences. It's really not that bad lol and most places are very flexible on your hours/start times/etc...but nah go ahead and "live" the way we were intended or whatever. Enjoy being poor

Some offices are like prisons. I worked in an office, all day, every day people watched your every move, waiting to snitch. People would cut short breaks and lunches, as the fear of being even a second late became unbearable. The moral was nonexistent.

This could apply to any job though.

Someone posted a pic of their reddit coworker's door the day after they quit, it had a dry erase board on it and he'd written "So long and thanks for all the fish!"

That's most jobs.

Same shit with boomers convincing their kids to avoid normal jobs for being for "peasants" and make an entire generation waste time in college
My mother made me lose 3 jobs

Crazy how managerial types almost always have some type of performance based incentive, but the rank and file almost never do, they're just supposed to be thankful for the menial job that they have.
