Supposedly takes place in early 80s LA but I can't imagine faggoty modernity BLM cocksucker media pulling this off believably and successfully, and with zoomer actors taboot

Book is good. Brett is the main character. He has butt sex with a Jewish teen and the Jewish teen is murdered. Who did it? Probably a black teen

I don’t know about the show but the book was ass. He’s lost his touch and is now just another formerly-cool old man complaining that the world moved on without his permission.

The last decent thing he wrote was Glamorama and it was just okay. The best thing that could have happened to him is if he died in 1992 and we would been left with all those “oh what could have been.” laments.

Watched the 2 episodes. Seemed a bit whatever show. I'll probably watch one or two episodes to see if it goes anywhere, but didn't leave me with a feeling that I must see new episode

The book is great. I read a Newyorker review saying that the director did a sloppy job and the show is all over the place tonally and thematically. If the super lib Newyorker doesn't even like it, it's for sure trash. I'll pass.

LA always had "beautiful people living life irresponsibly without bills to worry about", but the nepo and models who can't act really ruin this. Then again the teen-themed TV soap punched up with sex + violence never really needed acting. It's just sad how much FASHUN POSING is ruining acting, cos that's all zalphs see scrolling on their phones. Pose pose pose.

Wow more Gen Z slop for zoomer sluts on tiktok and twitter to gossip about! Why is this board so faggy
>>

Yes, because Ryan Murphy is showrunning and the cast is entirely white, making POCs seethe incessantly.

The book was amazing, the show is awful. The pacing is off and the tone is non-existent. It’s supposed to be drenched in obsession, paranoia, and confusion, and I don’t even know what to call what we’re actually getting except for trash
